Postby G.I.Jim » Wed Nov 04, 2009 1:48 pm

I better not catch ANY of you listening to my new version of "If We Believe" tonight!!! The song sounds much better now, and has some kick-ass bass in it from Ruben. I just uploaded it tonight, but it's only for non-Melodicrock people! I've got some wine in me, and I'm ready to go!!! Who's first?

DO NOT go to www.myspace.com/jimrykbost !!!

Sounds great! Love the use of strings in this song and yes, the bass sure adds even more richness. The songs are really coming together well. :)

I heard from a friend of my cousin's next door neighbor that your new song might be rather good..... that it has a haunting melody..... that it's a little bit emotional ...... a little bit passionate.

But that's all just hearsay.

I didn't click on the link or nothing. Honest.

The scary thing is that you've only heard the first HALF of the song!  It's definitely my most epic song ever, and I'm very proud of it. I also think it's my most modern sounding song so far... thanks to Alex's kick-ass guitars and vocals! I really think he did great on it. Rubens bass guitar turned out awesome as well, and it was just a first take! We'll hone it in perfectly for the real recordings. :D

Melinda sounds great too! Whos playing lead guitar on that? Alex?

My top 3 picks right now are: If We Believe, Melinda and Where Would I Be.

Thanks! Yeah... All the guitars on here are now Alex. The other guitarist that we brought into the project just didn't have the time to devote to it. He may join us later though if we ever get into a live situation. We're still on good terms with Jakk.

Alex is an AMAZING guitarist, and he always impresses me with his solos. :D I think my two favorite solos he's done are "Losing You" and "Melinda". They are just amazing!

No...no, He said not to so I won't : :( Oh come on you big woose! you're not going to listen to him are you? :x Well... yes, Jim said not to so I should respect his wishes. :? Oh puleeze!!! Jim's not the boss of you. This is a free country. You gonna let old Jim tell you what to do? Wow, I don't know what I should do. :?: :?: :?: If Jim didn't want anyone to listen to his music why did he post it all over MySpace Hmmmm? You do make a good point... Maybe Jim is just shy about people listening to his music and would really like us to listen. :) Now you're talkin' sista. You just march those fingers right over to Myspace and check it out. Ol' Jimbo will never know the difference.  :P

Gee Jim I can't imagine why you would tell people not to listen to your music so I just assumed it was because you're shy.  I do really like the music by the way. I particularily enjoyed listening to the creative process at work and how a song develops as the different musical components are added. Can't wait to hear the final finished product. When are you headed to the studio? I do agree, that Alex's pronunciation needs a little more work.
