The first part of your sentence doesn't click with the second part: "still doesn't" followed by "maybe"?

Methinks you're rambling. :)

Not to step on anyone's toes or beliefs (cause I respect that).. and I apologize to anyone if this offends anybody, so if you would be offended, read no further but..

RELIGION IS BULLSHIT! I can't believe a book.. a BOOK mind you, written by 40 or more different authors, corrupted so many human beings to not only death, suicide, murder, and war, but making people believe there is an invisible man, watching our every move in the sky. Take a look outside for ONE moment. If this is the best "God" could do, I'm not impressed.

I find it just as hard to believe that all this could exist, life, planets, stars, and so many other things, WITHOUT there being a God.

That is because humanity wants, NO...needs answers. Man can't grasp the concept of not knowing. Not knowing how we came to be. Also, man created god, not the other way around. He created it because he couldn't stomach the fact that He(man) was the best that 'life' had to offer. Men needed something that was better than himself. Man understood that he was flawed, tainted, broken. He needed to construct something infallible. And 'god' was that construct. One of the greatest flaws in man is his External locus of control. Inventing 'god' perpetuates this flaw by having someone there to 'blame' when things don't go right. Or to pray to, and thank when things get better(unjustly). If people would take responsibility for their own actions, there would be no need for a 'god' figure.

Bravo. I have way too much to go into on this topic, and I have a meeting soon, so I won't...

I've went to church at a young age, including my teenage years, and, like 99% of most people out there in this world, had religion shoved down my throat. Needless to say, I formed my own opinion after reading and actually comprehending what the Bible is saying, and more than over half I came to the conclusion that it is such bullshit and a waste of breath, sight, and smell!

So, you're telling me Clouds, stars, and planets are the SOLE reason behind God's existence? You can do better than that. Oh wait, you can't. Even though there is evidence and FACTS out there that not only support more towards the Big Bang Theory, or hell, even Evolution, there are no such facts that can come remotely close to explaining a God, other than a book that people like me and you wrote. (Think about it, of the BILLIONS and BILLIONS of years of life on Earth, there is not one trace that God left behind that PROVES that he would have exist.. other than a book that says a man turned water into wine, and walked on water and drank Pepsi with unicorns  )

Point of the matter is, the creation of the Bible, due to our early ancestry, never understood why things were the way they are. They didn't have scientist, and didn't really understand what they saw in front of them to where they couldn't explain. They wanted answers, so this led them to create a bullshit story, along with a figure that is invisible, to make them understand things a little better and just claim that an entity formed the entire universe, thus the existence of God. God didn't create anything. Man created God.

You seem pretty convinced about that. Don't you think I'm pretty foolish for believing in God? Wouldn't you ask me to prove that He exists?

I am convinced, only because during my 21 year career here on Earth that is life, I have never A.) Seen God 2.) Heard God 3. )Smelt God or 4.)Felt God. I am one of those... well.. I don't know, seeing is believing type of guy (I know crazy, huh?! And don't give me that bullshit of because I don't believe crap. Even when I did, "he" didn't answer one single prayer.) But I am always open minded to the opportunity to the fact for someone to prove that God exists so, yes, go ahead, prove to me that God exists. I'll give you from now, until eternity. Ready, set.. Absolutely, BJG, nailed it right on the head. It's nothing short than a scare tactic, mixed in with people's fear of dying and having a "place to go" when death occurs, thus making them feel better about death. Nothing more, nothing less, a big scam. But on the other hand, how can you blame the religiously obsessed? From an early age, they were brainwashed into thinking that if they don't believe in their God, that they will parish, and burn in HELL for all of eternity. Very nice, huh?

There are certainly idiots that try to force things down other people's throats. Atheists do the same thing. In fact, if I were to come at you like you have towards me in this post, you would probably say that I'm trying to force it down your throat.

So, you're telling me Clouds, stars, and planets are the SOLE reason behind God's existence?

Never said that. I'm not going to expound upon all the reasons why I believe God exists. There just isn't room or time enough to do it here.

Oh wait, you can't...

I don't claim to know everything. What I do know is that Jesus was an actual historical figure. He lived and was crucified on the cross and rose from the dead. Yes, I know you're going to call me insane for believing that but I don't particularly care. Regardless, I could just as well claim that you're as closed-minded as you think I am, so who really gives a flying rat's backside.

Again, I respect in all that one believes in. It's hard to really determine tone through a topic like this. With that said, I am not close minded. I am as open minded as anyone I've ever known. Again, I went to church, I went through studies, I went through all of this. I came to my own conclusion, and not that of a priest, or someone expecting me to believe it just because, that the Bible is not only filth, but there is awfully something wrong if people can sit there and that that the Bible is morally correct. Thus, I came up with my own judgment and that judgment is that despite anything that is said in the Bible, I cannot fathom it to be A.) Fact or B) Believable without concrete facts. Now, I've tried to have debates with people about this, and it is always the bible pusher pointing the finger in my face and assuring me that I am wrong and that I will be sorry one day. That's a threat, and a threat of a close minded person who can't talk the subject without getting offended. I am all ears, and what these ears have heard, I just can't wrap my finger onto believing such a fairy tale.

My main beef with religion, is that people will believe the bible. Believe in something(someone) that nobody has seen in close to 2,000 years....but they won't believe in a 2nd shooter in the JFK assassination?

Maybe 'god' did it?! Maybe Jack was thinking about switching to Judaism? :D
