Aerosmith's Joe Perry Says Steve Tyler has Quit the Band!

there hasn't been any official statement from steven that says he has quit aerosmith, yet people are spreading the news as if it is fact.

Let me state for the record, that I'm certainly not spreading anything "as if it is fact". I merely stated that a local Boston news station ran with the story. Who knows if it's true or not. What I do know is that there is ZERO chance that Tyler doesn't know these stories are out there. All of these guys and their families still live in the Boston area, so I guarantee you that Tyler knows these stories are being run on local TV. If there was no validity to the story, one would have to think that he would at least issue a statement that there is zero truth to these stories!

hahaha. That's more a statement on Mary Tyler Moore than Tyler. At least MTM USED to be a good looking lady. Now Tyler keeps trying to become one.

that's funny... I've said the same thing a million times here whenever a certain singer is mentioned to be working with someone or on something and everyone runs with it. I'm always the one going: ummmm, guys... "there hasn't been any official statement from steve(n) ..." LOL!!

I'll admit, I've not gone looking for info about it simply because I know it will show up here eventually. But this is a good point... just because info shows up, doesn't mean it's right. The media is responsible for the worst games of "telephone" ever. They don't get it right at the start, then people just take what they hear as fact because the big glowing screen told them so and pretty soon, Tyler has left Aerosmith, Perry has a new album out next week, and Jeff Goldblum fell off a cliff just an hour after Michael Jackson might have kinda sorta died, or something.

Unfortunately the longer it takes Tyler to respond to the rumor mill, the worse it's looking that it is true. And that will absolutely break my heart. I've seen this band live more than any other band ... and I see a LOT of concerts.

Damn... not good. And if he is jerking JMFPerry's chain... it's not helping matters at all.

I really REALLY hope this is just full on bullshit and speculation.
