Just because the league says something is against the rules and someone breaks the rules....doesn't mean that it is cheating....You are allowed to tape from anywhere in the stadium besides field level. And EVERY person who was questioned states that there is absolutely no advantage to taping the opposition's sidelines for quick turnaround for the next(or current play). Things do not work that fast. I think it is just jealousy. Patriots were the cream of the league, and they were in the bullseye. If the Patriot's were taping and still losing - you wouldn't have heard jack shit about it.
It is my personal opinion(I called WEEI, and was hung up on by the host) that Belichick really didn't need to tape the sidelines. I think he knew it was illegal, and hoped he'd get caught. He knew other teams were doing the same thing. But instead of being a rat, he got himself caught so it would stop league wide. He knew that other teams relied on that taping, and he didn't. That's genius. He knew it would cost him a draft pick. Big deal....he had 6 more.
And is it really cheating? Teams watch game film all week long. No one cares about that. If a story came out tomorrow that the Yankees were stealing signs, or that Pedro Martinez was tipping his pitches - would you claim that the Yankees cheated, or were they just clever and resourceful?
Oh I could care less what the Patriots did. Enema869 just gets all worked up so I pushed his buttons.
The Patriots are obviously a great team, and have been for the better part of a decade, tapes or no tapes.
Unlike Urinal from Boston I don't take pleasure in running someone's team down. Sure I don't like the Patriots, I don't like the Raven, Browns or Cincy either, but I respect their fans and when they are playing well I give them due credit.
The Idiot posting with the old fashioned Patriots logo here, can't do that, if he doesn't like a team he runs that team down, then starts on the fans.
Don't join him in being an idiot.
