Arnel's queued up for an audition. Seems Joe Perry was impressed by this clip after having a couple glasses of wine in him.

Arnel would become a household name if he joined Aerosmith. Of course people would expect him to sound just like Tyler or he'd catch shit for sounding too much like Tyler.

He could do fine with some practice. He can imitate a 60 year old man pretty good. :P

Even thru the horrible sound of that video I can hear he did much better on that song then he did on Amazing. I still don't think Aerosmith songs are his thing to sing, though. Even good singers don't sound right singing just anything by anyone. This is not a detraction to any singer but no one does it all well...all singers vocals just fit certain songs and styles better then others.

The guy can mimic ballads but can he spit out lines quickly without his diction screwing it up? Walk This Way and quite a few other Aerosmith songs are pretty quick paced lyrically. Can he also do those high pitched screams at the end of a lot of those songs like Dream On? Then again, can the guy just sing in his own voice instead of being a parrot? Take a song and make it his own, like Whitney does with I will always Love You?

This reminds me that he's worked hard and long to finally get somewhere. Whatever success he's having, he's earned it.
