It wasn't that gimpy throwing two wide open interceptions to Larry Brown!

Bo Jackson was a fucking BEAST! It's really unfortunate that he was never healthy, because he had the potential to be one of the all time greats. He was the most unique back I ever saw come into the NFL.

You know, in watching that clip he really doesn't seem to have gone down hard. It was just a normal, everyday tackle....something must have been wrong with him that he wasn't saying.....and although I, myself, like elusive backs better - something must be said for the back that can knock the hell out of you.
I really don't remember much of him, as I was more into baseball, NCAA hoops, NBA, and hockey back then....oh, and worshipping one Barry Sanders.

Time to remove the Hines Ward dildo from your anus, dude! He is old. His skills are VERY average, and he's slow as shit. I commend Hines Ward for getting the absolute most out of his talent, and that's not a bad thing. As I stated before, I believe that he will absolutely get elected to the HOF, even though he would never get my vote. If someone asked me to come up with the 20 best receivers over the past 10 years, his name would not be on my list. If a player doesn't ever dominate (at his position) the era he plays in, he's not HOF worthy in my opinion. I think Roethlisberger will be more HOF worthy at the end of his career than Ward ever will be.

I agree with you on Denver and the Giants. Your argument on the Colts is a bit inconsistent because Manning and Brady are on the same level. Also, I think you're making a HUGE mistake overlooking Pittsburgh. I don't think they have any shot of winning the Super Bowl this season, but Roethlisberger has really turned into an excellent QB so they can't be taken lightly.

Dude...do you even watch football? You do realize that Reggie Wayne is second in the entire NFL in receiving yards, right? Wayne has been a top 5 receiver for the past three seasons and is every bit the weapon that Moss is! Also...Tom Brady won Super Bowls with Bethel Johnson, Reche Caldwell and David Givens, so I'm fairly certain that Manning could win one with Wayne, Clark and the rest of their inexperienced receivers. Good QB's have the ability to make below average receivers serviceable!

You're impressed with Cincinnati (who won more games than they should of lost, and SHOULD have lost to the Browns, that FG was missed), but not Pittsburgh? You're impressed with New England and not Indianapolis? These two "debates" on who doesn't impress you can be settled next week. I don't see how you can not be impressed with Pittsburgh dude, they are two 4th qrt meltdowns away from being 8-0! Mendenhall wasn't playing well early season and was simply getting 4 touches a game, and Polamalu is back to shape, something we didn't have early. The Steelers WOMPED on the Donco's and the Donco's pretty much beat down New England in the same stadium to take win it in overtime. The Steelers beat The Vikings and Broncos in two consecutive weeks, but yet that's not impressive? New England Cheatriots keep winning, but they are far from a great team. In fact, I'd rather play them than see the Bronco's again in the playoffs, or hell, even the Chargers. The Steelers will gauge New England all da, ANY day with this new offensive weaponry. This is December, and I can GUARANTEE you that Pittsburgh will be the hardest team to beat. THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS.

Gay fanboyism, or whatever you call it is not the term to use. This is the time where the playoff brackets begin to shape up. This is the way it gets as teams like Pittsburgh and New England breaks away from the pack. This is the time to get serious, and pull out all the stops in defending your team come playoff time. I know it's something you don't understand over there in 'Stain land, but this is a whole different beast approaching, it just so happens we have two diehards on this board who are going to go at it from here on out, since both teams are primed for a playoff push at the moment. I'm trying to find the peace with the rest of the league and try to give the them a fair observation, but the fact will always remain this far, that is is N.O, Indy, Pitt, and N.E who are making noise and will continue to make noise all season. All the pretenders like Cincinnati who hasn't proved anything EVER will always be the bitch of the league until they win in the playoffs.

I understand all that, but have you ever heard the expression, "That's why they play the game"?
Cinci has earned the right to be respected at this point regardless of their having a shitty game against the Browns (I'm pretty sure they just took us so lightly they didn't know what to do).
StocktontoMalone wrote:Enigma869 wrote:It's a fair question. I can't remember the last time Indy played the Patriots in New England. On another note, I see the Patriots either losing against the Colts or New Orleans in the next couple of weeks. I'm fairly convinced that they'll hand one of these teams their first loss. Right now, I'm leaning toward the Patriots upsetting the Colts in a very close game on Sunday night.[/list]
I agree, John. BUT, being a New England fan, you must know that the biggest flaw the Patriots have had with Indy is coming up with a gameplan for the TE position. I fully expect Dallas Clark to run rampant in the middle of the field, and in the flat. I'm not afraid of Addai, and I'm not afraid of Peyton. If Bill has finally figured out a plan for Clark, I see a blowout.
Secondly, I'm not afraid of Brees. Side note: The Pats secondary has a huge flaw. giving the opposing receivers too much cushion, especially on possession downs. (read: 3rd and long). TE gameplanning, and 3rd and long have killed us like forever. If your D-line is getting pressure on opposing QB...play up, jump the route....don't give a 5-yard cushion on 3rd a 3, cause you know a quick dump off is coming before the receiver has even turned around(and you can't defend that).
I don't know....just some things I've noticed.
