No there is not. It was faked.

Really? Well, tell my uncle Hobart who, as a youngster, spent his winters trudging through snow in Ohio from September to March, which hasn't happened for the past 30 years, that he's full of shit.

I've trudged thru Ohio winters fo 49 years. Some are cold, some are freezing cold, some are mild. Cycles my friend. Man is not big enough to change this atmosphere. Volcanos yes, man no.

I disagree. Why is it 8 to 10 degrees warmer here in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex than it is 20 miles north, south, east & west of it? The heat is unnaturally held in paved driving surfaces, shingled or tarred roof tops, plus all the heat we generate from every machine that runs, and from the plants generating the electricity to run them. As I said before, it's absolutely impossible that humans aren't contributing. I'm sure, if someone did a study, those temperature increases we've seen would rise at an equal rate with the amount of cars on the road and increase in energy usage.

BTW, rarely ever has Ohio had September snow, maybe once in a while in Cleveland but that's about it.

my dad was born in June 22, 1927 near Dayton Oh ... his dad tells the story of snow that day, while he was out farming.

Uhh, it's never snowed through September in Ohio. Usually very rainy. The snow traditionally comes around mid to late October, then breaks for a bit, then comes back in November around this time.

I have relatives who have lived here for 75 years, they'll tell you the same thing. It's totally baseless to say the winters don't happen here hard and long anymore, cuz they do.

Also, it pretty much consistently snows through March still (or is at least damn cold, well below 32) and we get at least a couple of big storms every April before the weather breaks. That hasn't changed. Hell, a couple of years ago, graduation at my college on May 9 had to be moved inside on account of snow

So, Uncle Hobart, you are full of steaming hot shit

YES THANK YOU

I don't care if global warming is or isn't the end of the world, but mankind creates way too much pollution. Even before the global warming idea, we gre up learning about ozone holes and recycling and pollution. It's not a new idea, just help out the planet for future generations' sake!

I'm not sure about this global warning business, but Rick does have some good points!!
My own family, in Michigan, sold all of their winter toys a few years back because there
was never any/or enough snow to use them....ABNORMAL!!!
September is a bit early
for snow in Michigan, as well...lol!!!
And why am I still wearing shorts November 20, 2009
and sometimes still on Christmas Day?!?!

It's gonna be hard for you believers to swallow all of this. Spoon full o'sugar and all that.

Lula, just watch. Fox and Drudge have it now and I saw a rumor about CNBC getting in on action.

Whatever you believe the merits/truth of the global warming theory are,

We can help future generations out a lot more, right now by not creating so many entitlements to practically guarantee our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be forced to pay so many taxes that working will be pointless.

Why would you say that? He's dead!

It may have been October that he said, I really can't remember clearly, but he did say that it was a winter wonderland before. I'll go from my own experience. I went skiing in northern New Mexico in the Rockies, twice. Once in the 80's where it was completely snow covered, and then again 2 years ago, where they had to manufacture every bit of snow they had. And the guy at the ski rental shop said it had been the best year for snow they had had in 10 years.

Ok, we've had a couple of warm decades, and as you say, it could just be related to a 'variation'. I'll give you that. And maybe the earth is better at taking care of itself than I give it credit for. And maybe the global warming thing is a hoax, and maybe the ozone layer thing is a hoax. But why do people sun burn so much more now days? And why is skin cancer so much more prevalent? Something changed.

Maybe people are burning differently these days, because we're eating MUCH differently than we did even 15 years ago. I'm not claiming that as a fact (I've never read it ANYWHERE), I'm just answering your question of something that has seriously changed. I don't know if it even relates to food, but that would be interesting to check out... :D Let's get some scientists to research THAT shit! It wouldn't surprise me at all... they've already started linking chemically produced chickens to breast developement in young teens. When I went to school, only one or two girls in the class would really start developing until senior year at highschool. Go into a school nowadays and it's SCARY!

There are SO many things that we put into our bodies nowadays that it's scary. I'm just thinking out loud with this food thing... carry on!

One thing I can think of is that nobody spends as much time out doors as they used to, so they may be more susceptible. I agree the food thing has changed people, and it could be the cause of it, especially if there are hormones being used. I don't know if hormones can cause skin cancer, but could be what's causing so many breast and ovarian cancers.

I just want to touch on this part - skin cancer is more prevalent because people didn't know better back in the day and didn't block! Those are the people getting older and the cancer is manifesting now. I don't think this has ANYTHING to do with global warming unless there has been a rash of 20-something people with average sun exposure lifestyles getting skin cancer that I'm not aware of?

Here in Michigan we were only blessed with about a 3 week summer, with record cold temps all over.

That may be the case there Andrew, but we've had places here in the US over the last couple of years that have broken LOW temperatures that dated all the way back into the late 1800's and early 1900's. I honestly believe that the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling, and it's mainly attributed to solar flare activity. There were times in the 60's when scientists warned of global cooling! It's all just a matter of cycles, and I'm sure it'll cool off soon enough. If not, just move your ass over here and we can go have a nice cold beer together and celebrate 80's rock! :D

First of all, I thought the globam warming people instituted a semantic change when it wsa ridiculously cold the last few winters/years... didn't they do an about face and go "WAIT! We never meant global warming, we actually meant global climate change?" Fuckin buffoons

i'm not saying the hacked info isn't something, but it does not negate all research and scientific opinions regarding the reality of global warming. even if you don't believe it is fact you can still treat the planet with kindness and conserve the natural resources for generations to come. it isn't only about saddling future generations with debt, we need to consider the planet and be responsible custodians.
