Brett looked amazing yesterday... but he was playing the Seahawks... is he MVP this year or should it go to Brees??? Packers won... and I did not realize they were still in the Wild Card running!!
I guess that shows how much I have not been paying attention!! THE NFL does rock so much more than College football though!! Even the bad teams in the NFL can win a game now and then...

In the last 5 games, the Steelers have allowed 4 Special Teams touchdowns. Pathetic.

That's crazy. Hey, guess what you yinzer queer, I'm coming to Cranberry on Wednesday night. You live at all close to there? We're probably gonna stay local places around there so we can get a ride back to my buddy's house, but we're gonna get fucked up.

This is a first.

I wouldn't be so quick to hand out the MVP trophy to either of those guys. I think Favre is playing VERY well but he isn't even in the top 10 for passing yards and Brees is ranked 5th. Brees has 22 passing TD's (which is 1st in the league) but Manning and Favre have 21 and Brady has 20. I think another guy to keep an eye on as a "dark horse" candidate is Wes Welker. He leads the league in receptions and only has 4 guys ahead of him for the most receiving yards and he's missed two full games while all the other receivers have played every game. MVP awards are not given out in November. The league MVP hasn't been decided yet and won't be for at least another month.

I wouldn't give the league MVP to Favre just yet, but I'm sure he will be high in the running down the stretch. Before the season I picked Brees to snag it but clearly at this point it's going to be a CO-MVP award with Manning and Brees. Comeback player of the year will probably go to be Brady when it's all said and done, but Favre could snatch the honor also.

Holy fuck...it is real. This guy continues to completely embarrass himself, the NFL, and Cincinatti. I've never been able to understand how anyone can actually cheer for this guy. Truly one of the biggest douchebags to come into the NFL in my lifetime.

Not true. I have two close friends who work for ESPN - one is still in Bristol, the other is here in Charlotte doing graphics work for ESPNU - and they both say he is the nicest and most modest guy there. Theisman doesn't even work for ESPN any longer, does he? Dude was completely useless as a game analyst so not sure how he kept his job as long as he did.

W000OooooWWWW this is seriously vulgar and simply not needed in ANY sport, let alone the NFL. I can't wait til this imbecile calls it quits, he's ruining everything the NFL has built over the years. What a puke. He better hope his team doesn't fall to the curse of the Terrible Towel since the Bungles fans put a vid on youtube burning it! The result? A loss to the Raiders! So Siannara mother fuckers!

That's good to hear, I like him even more now. I've read in some places that he was an absolute dick on set and was pretty rude to fans as well. Glad to hear it's internet bullshit. 8)

I disagree with some of these. At this point, Pittsburgh isn't a top 10 team and if Ben is out for even a game or two, they're lucky to be a top 15 team. At this point, while I can't fault you for having the two undefeated teams ranked first and second, I believe the Vikings are the team to beat in the NFL this season. Favre may well choke it away, as he has a history of doing so. That said, if he can keep it together, the Vikings have the defense and the weapons on offense to beat anyone in the NFL.

I believe the Vikings will indeed represent the NFC this season in the Super Bowl (I was just talkin' to my buddy that it would be UNREAL for Favre to win the SB this season) and feel they are in a 3 way tie to head the league as far as best teams are concerned but I'm giving credit where credits due and respecting the record and handing 1 and 2 to both undefeated's since they take care of business. Getting to this point with a target on their backs undefeated is simply outstanding but I believe Minny is the team to beat in the entire NFL. Each week it's becoming more and more Favre's team and he's playing as well as he ever did even in his prime. As far as any other team, I think San Diego could make major noise and right now it's all about getting in. After that who knows. Whole new league.

ESPN's Power Rankings.

1 Saints 10-0-0 The Saints are averaging 36.9 points per game, more than the Raiders (10.8.), Rams (11.3) and Browns (11.5) combined.

2 Colts 10-0-0 Even when the Colts don't play particularly well, opponents haven't seized opportunities.

3 Vikings 9-1-0 Brett Favre appears to be the front-runner for MVP.

4 Patriots 7-3-0 Bill Belichick gets a chance to play spoiler on Monday as his Patriots try to end the Saints' bid for a perfect season.

5 Cardinals 7-3-0 Getting Kurt Warner healthy has to be the top priority, particularly now that Arizona has a three-game lead in the division.

6 Chargers 7-3-0 Better to struggle early and settle in late than vice versa.

7 Bengals 7-3-0 A loss in Oakland? Nobody saw that one coming. (Except me)

8 Cowboys 7-3-0 Despite major problems on third down against the Redskins, the Cowboys did enough to win and keep their division lead.

9 Steelers 6-4-0 Their loss to Kansas City proves the Steelers often play down to the competition. (Exactly what I said.)

10 Eagles 6-4-0 Finally, Donovan McNabb wins a close game. Maybe he's not the second-worst closer in Philadelphia sports.

The good news for you is that Tomlin said that Ben will be fine and should be able to go. That makes Pittsburgh a reasonable team. Without Roethlisberger, that team is losing games at a dizzying pace.

Absolutely, and what would add fuel to the fire is that Charlie Batch, even though he took 4 lousy snaps, broke his wrist, so if Ben did indeed need time to recover from his concussion state, then Dennis Dixon, a 2nd year player who only took one NFL snap, would be a lamb getting thrown into a pack of wolves and our season would of really taken an even worse hit and we would of been spinning out of control. With that said the Steelers dominated statistically in all 4 of their losses aside from the last Cincy game (which was pretty much even), so we are certainly better than what we have shown against Kansas City, who we out gained them by over 300+ yards of offense and that still wasn't enough so we have a uphill battle. For all the Ben haters that reside in Pittsburgh or all over, if Ben can't stay healthy, then we'd see how life would be without Ben at the helm and that wouldn't look too pretty.

Twenty-two-year-old William Woodson, of Bridgeville, remained jailed Monday on a charge of animal cruelty.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that a witness told police that Woodson was kicking the dog down the street shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, which is when the football game began. Police say Woodson was supposed to be taking the pit bull for a walk, but the animal resisted. By the time police arrived, the puppy was dead.

Police say Woodson didn't like the dog and was upset that his live-in girlfriend bought it.

Not true, I told you guys 2 or 3 weeks ago that Cincy had a trip to Oakland coming up and someone berated me for it. I knew, from 42 years of watching them that anything is possible and from experience it's usually the worst thing. We don't call em the Bungals for nothing. Don't get me wrong, I love my team on Sundays but we've had so much heartache it ain't funny. I've long quit wearing my team on my sleeve, Sundays are now pure entertainment, it has to be that way because we just never know what to expect. Give me a few good years in a row and then I'll rethink and maybe even go to a game again, but not before then. They haven't earned it. I hope sometime soon they do. I still ain't thinking past the Brownies. No way no how. Been there done that.

Should of lost to them already this year. But by the way the NFL is going this year, who the hell knows!

Mark my words. The Patriots will beat the Saints by at least 10 points this weekend. I like New Orleans' organization, but the honeymoon ends here.

I'm with you there. I've said consistently that the Patriots would beat either the Colts or the Saints and we know what happened in the Colts game. I still think the Vikings probably have a better team than the Patriots at this point. That said, I'm very confident that there isn't a team in the NFL the Patriots can't go head to head with and beat. I would be stunned if they lost to the Colts again if they encounter them in the playoffs.

I can't WAIT for this game. It's going to be SOMETHIN. Looking at these big match ups (Pats/Colts; Saints/Pats) The Patriots are dodging bullets esp regarding the Colts game and a similiar situation against New Orleans as to where the Saints, and Colts are suffering injury to the defense. (Saint struggling at corner.. this plays to the Pats strength.) The style of offense that the Pats play, they certainly prey on that and vice versa for the Saints. It'll be a battle of the offense's. The Colts/Saints/and Pats are so similar at what they do offensively, that we know both teams match up well. The Saints D is much tougher in some ways than the Colts and I expect it to possibly be another high scoring, but the Pats thrive off of games like this and will pull it out since Belichick is a master mind at unbalanced matchups and defensive packages that get in the head of the QB. But Brees isn't Sanchez so I expect this to be a toe to toe game, which it should be since both teams are so similiar of what they do. This is going to be a statement for BOTH teams since the Pats lost to all teams they've faced this season with winning records and N.E is certainly the toughest test for the Saints entire squad this season. I expect N.E to make the statement they so often do and win by atleast 10.

What bullets is anyone "dodging" when they lose the game? The Patriots have had SIGNIFICANT injuries on their defensive line all season. Jerod Mayo, their best defensive player missed three games. Injuries are a part of football. Hell, they lost their QB last season and still won 11 games. Tell me one other team in the entire NFL who wins 11 games losing their starting QB! I promise you that if Pittsburgh loses Roethlisberger on the first series of the season, they wouldn't win 6 games.

Dude...where the fuck do you come up with this shit? New England beat the Falcons when they were undefeated and also beat the Ravens when they were undefeated. I understand you hate the Patriots, but let's not make up shit with this made up "weak" schedule. At least the Patriots didn't lose to a shit Kansas City team and barely squeak by a Tennessee team like Shitsburgh did.

'Listen' Chowder fan, I'm not making anything up, it's also on NFL.com about the schedule, which states:
Can New England make a statement?: The Patriots have lost both games they have played against teams that currently have winning records (Broncos, Colts). Although the two defeats came by a total of four points, New England could use a quality victory with the playoff stretch arriving.

This isn't about the Steelers so there's no point in bringing them in the subject. (Too late now. BTW: The Steelers lost their starting Quarterback in 2004 and went 15-1 as well as a tons of injuries to key starters, but you're not getting no argument from me that I think the Steelers are indeed a 6-10 team without their starting QB, which I've said.)

I understand the Pats beat those teams at the time, but I'm not talking about that time, I'm talking about overall and that's exactly what it is. (The Steelers also beat an undefeated Titans team at 0-0 at the time, and beat an undefeated Vikings team as well, what gives to a suck argument?) Hypothetically, You don't look at the end of the season and say "The Pats beat an undefeated Ravens team" when say, the Ravens go 7-9 on the season. You don't tally up that the Pats beat an undefeated Ravens team at the time, but the 7-9 overall Ravens team.

The Patriots as of now have lost to both teams with a winning record. There's no way around that. (If you want to talk about barely squeaking by, lets be ignorant to the fact that the Pats should of got MURDERED by the Bills in week 1 and "squeaked by", & also lost to the Jets.. that's not too much better looking at it right now, is it piss pants? Jets (4-6) Chefs (3-7))

The Pats beat The Bills ( 3-7) the Jets (4-6) the Dolphins (5-5) The Falcons ( 5-5) The Ravens (5-5) The Titans (4-6) and Tampa Bay (1-9) (Hardly anything to WHOOP WHOOP about)

and lost to

The Broncos (6-4) The Colts (10-0) and The Jets (4-6)

If you do the math correctly you can easily tell that they haven't beat a team with a winning record thus far. (The Steelers beat 3 teams with winning records: Chargers, Broncos & the best in the NFL: the Vikings)

As bad as the Steelers puked away their W's and how bad they looked against the Chefs and Bears, they are only one back in the win column compared the the Pats. (7-3; 6-4.)

You love arguing so to make you feel better, the Pats will beat the Saints on Monday Night and have one of the better shots at going to Miami.

I know , I know, I'm a dope!  hahahaha
