Happy Thanksgiving

Postby KDOUBLEU » Thu Nov 26, 2009 5:43 am

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone, I hope you all have a great day and can spend some time with your families and friends. Lets all be thankful for what we have and eat lots of Turkey and drink some Beer. (Not too much). :)

Happy Thanksgiving, I will pass on the beer, but wish you all good tidings, and good health and lots of love. Take care KDOUBLEU, and best wishes for the holidays!

Agree with all except the not too much beer part

It's been a whacky year for me... one of the most up and down years I can remember in my life to be honest. Lots of great things have happened, some shitty things have happened, I'm kinda in a transitionary phase of my life and all that so it'll be nice to start fresh. But the holidays really are a time to appreciate your family and what you have. This year there's not even snow! (yet)

There's snow in the forecast for Chicago tonight through tomorrow night.
Normally I would mock and tease about being down in the Carolinas where Thanksgiving is sometimes in the 70s. However I checked the forecast and while Chicago may have snow, the temps will only be down to 30-31. And where I'll be they're 27-28. Fail.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Safe travels & good food!

Yes, "Black Friday".

Thanks for the wishes. I can't wish back since you Canadians gotta be all different and have early Thanksgiving.
Something odd about that... Canadians are suspicious...

KW-Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!
a4p-I'll pass on the beer also, you and I will have to indulge in the non-alcoholic drinks!
Deb-Yes, Black Friday is the big shopping day here, but only the really stupid people actually go out and shop.
Ehwmatt-We have plenty of snow here...and plenty of cold, it was TEN degrees this morning..I'd be happy to share with you!
GI Jim-You might be on to something...we haven't had this much snow or this cold of weather this early in a long time!
ScarabGator-You have a great T'giving too darlin'....and this year, go ahead and put the olives on your fingers, it's OK......and trust me, fresh cranberry sauce IS better than canned.

To everyone else......HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!!!

I am thankful for all of my MR friends!

And hey, we do it the right way. You guys do all your Christmas shopping on your one big sale day, whereas us Canadian's have our big sale day on Boxing Day.......to spend all our Christmas dough on ourselves. Now who's stupid? :P

We don't ALL do it. You'll not catch me within 5 miles of a store on Black Friday if I can possibly help it. Get in line at 11pm on Thanksgiving night with 85,000 other people because Best Buy has TWO laptops they're going to sell for $199? No thank you. I'll be on the couch with a glass of wine and all my limbs intact, kthx. 8)
