Is he going to do these shows for the whole time he is away from Journey? Is this all part of his contract with his manager where he has to work for him when is off tour with the band?

I saw the Charice clip. She's the best singer I've seen since 2000 on. Unbelievable. Talk abut hitting high notes and her voice just caresses the words. I've seen no one like her since Celine and Whitney.

I don't care for them always pairing AP with her, she doesn't meet his voice like a regular duet singer does, she tries to overpower him and it becomes a bit distracting as his voice gets lost under hers. She's like ten years old, She should be singing with the younger guys.

I agree 100 percent. I've liked only a few of the duets over there. I kind of liked the one this year with a bunch of people he swapped off with in one performance they posted. That yin girl last year, whatever her name is. You will remember her. More rock. And the woman he did the charity shows with he seemed to jell with. Other than that, forget it.

I would like to see him sing with Lea Salonga. We're talking Tony Winner here. Her singing to her husband during her wedding vows is just beautiful, especially her voice breaking with emotion near the end.

How about this surprise duet? 8) I would have loved to have been there, just purely from the standpoint of Arnel being able to sing with someone he admires so much. Imagine, going from obscurity in the Philippines the year b/f to singing with rock legend Ann Wilson.

I think I have become jaded about anyone singing that song as a duet after all those youtubes that got posted here. At first I was annoyed that we didn't get that performance at our show two nights before but after seeing it a few times, I just don't like it that much.

Oh, to watch it on YouTube clip isn't what is great. It's not that it is a brilliant duet. But to have been in the audience is when that would be special. Just a great surprise moment in the concert.

And I guess Charice can replace Ann when she retires and Heart can go on too.  J/k

Charice - Alone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=739-SGrFYYg - amazing

Nice huh? I guess you guys know for sure Steve "The Great One" Perry cannot sing anymore so you can crack jokes about him?
They got the one that can sing.....sure he can, Im sure arnie boy RULES the karaoke circuit because thats really what he is, a glorified karaoke singer who cannot pronounce the english language to save his life. I think hes got some deal going on with his eyes when he performs as well, it may be a seizure but his eyes draw back into his head...wonder if he can see behind him when he does that?

Dude... Really?

Just look at Nostrilus' last tour. He couldn't pull of the stuff he once could, like Stone in Love for example. And whatever you may think; Journey isn't a karaoke band. They're playing the music the concert goers want to hear. Do you really think it would be better if Arnel started dishing out some Butterfly? Hell no! And FYI: Journey is playing several Revelations track on their last tour as well. That eye thing is freaky though, I'll give you that.

Plenty of Revelation Discs, not to many Foreigner discs and about three Manila DVDs. They got them in a weird location and I almost didn't see them. Well since Journey's Greatest Hits is back in the Hot 200 chart, I thought I would check on those.

Low and Behold, all of them have a blue sticker on them but not with song titles listed. Instead it reads:

Includes the original master recordings, performed by the original members

Steve Perry - Vocals
Neal Schon - Guitars
Jonathan Cain - keyboards
Ross Valory - Bass
Steve Smith - Drums

Gregg Rolie - Keyboards
Aynsley Dunbar - Drums

I think that is some really creative marketing by Sony. The disc was 9 dollars and there were only three left. I don't know if that little sticker helped in sales but seeing as they did get back on the charts at #159, I thought it was rather clever for Sony to differentiate between the two line ups. Unfortunately,I didn't see any older albums . I was wondering if they'll get the sticker too. Sort of a Genuine Journey certification sticker I'd guess you could call it.

Okay, so now, do we start going "Well, the only reason it sold was because it was 9.00" like everybody did with Revelation? ;)
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.
