9 inches here in the suburbs of Boston! Is it June yet? Snow serves ZERO purpose after about the age of 12

As I noted on facebook earlier...

"Typical (weather)men. They tell us we're going to get 10" and we don't even get 3". And I didn't even get the free dinner, either."

I'm gonna regret saying it though. It's been snowing all day. I don't feel sorry for you, John.

Ahh, ya whiners! We had that Stormageddon last weekend.........a foot of snow and drifts of up to 5 and 6 feet. We had a waist high drift on the right side between the garage and house. Guess I could have warned ya this was coming your way, but nahhhh, where's the fun in that?! :P

Right, and that should tell you just how offensive I found the south. Even the superb winter weather (summer in the south SUCKS donkey balls) couldn't keep me there, due to all of the other nutty shit I was exposed to on a daily basis, and that's as much as I'll say, so I don't start world war 3. I will say this...people in the south have nooooooo freakin' clue what winter and cold is!

+1

I lived in Walpole, Norwood, and Cape Cod MA for close to 20 years before I finally smartened up and moved back home to Texas.

Smartass! I love having 4 distinct seasons......I can pretty much handle the heat and the cold, probably cuz I know it's only for about 3 months at a time. :)

Agreed Nat! Snow-mobiling is a riot! Although I haven't been for a few years now.

Man that's terrible. I bet you guys have delay's like mother fuckers. Here in Pittsburgh, we have a mixture of sleet and that's mixed in with wind that feels about 50 MPH. Tonight is the start of the December cold front and it will last through December. I think it's supposed to be 15 degrees tom morn with snow. Sucks to be me since I'm out on the roads all morning. Oh well.

The older I get the more I HATE snow. I decided to take a personal day today since I haven't used any yet this year. Took one look out the window and said fuck that. I'm staying home. Maybe global warming will eventually do away with winter. Spring, summer and fall would be all right by me!

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I like change in my life, and living in Pitt lets me enjoy this great Earth's and her seasons! I'm a seasonal guy and when each season hits, I'm ready for all of them. Of course, winter gets old, but summer for me gets even older. I'm a cold climate guy, and love the fall and early part of winter more than I enjoy spring and summer. I could live in fall for 12 months of the year if I had to. Fall kicks ass and so does Halloween!

I have very fond memories of going up to Michigan with friends, drinking myself half blind and riding snowmobiles from bar to bar. Haven't done that in years. Maybe this year. :)

We are getting the massive wind storm right now... snow to supposedly follow. Gotta be in early tomorrow too, that oughta be fun... hope I don't die!

I like the seasons too... my problem is winter goes for so damn long. I don't mind a little cold weather for a couple months, but scraping snow off your car and having icy roads for 4.5 months gets really old.

Things are getting better here in Minnesota - had only 9" of snow but winds of 50 miles per hour. Temp now 3 degrees (above zero) heading to -10 degrees tonight with wind chills of 40 below zero. I love winter.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

No loss for me dude. Just like the south is your home, the great city of Boston is mine. I was simply displaced on planet Mars for 13 long months. I was so fucking elated to come back home that I pulled my car over on the interstate to kiss the fucking ground when I entered my home state of Massachusetts. I was never so happy to be surrounded by people with moronic accents I could understand (as opposed to the moronic southern accents I couldn't understand).
