Unreal 911 Call

I feel horribly bad for this woman. She had every right to do what she did, but you can hear the pain in her voice.

I heard this yesterday at lunch. The sad thing is there is probably some ACLU lawyer sharpening his knife and thinking about representing the guy's family for wrongful death.

Disturbing. Those noises without being able to see anything hits home and could happen to anyone. That's a tough woman, but got to do what you got to do.

Any word if the man died?

He's dead. The police said the lady will not be charged as that state allows forceful self defense in that situation when you are in your own home.

That woman is a hero, plain and simple.

If more people had that kind of balls hoods and thugs would REALLY think twice.

Wow. Unfortunate story for the burglar. That woman did what was right and you hear in her voice that she didn't want to do it. Poor lady going through that, esp a much older woman. I applaud her for her actions but death is never a good thing to see no matter how it works. (Unless your Hitler, Sadam, C.Manson, etc. etc.)

I'm with you on the ACLU. They're almost as bad as the NRA.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

Burglar?
He smashed his way into her house and was likely gonna try and kill her.

That's a maniac home invader, not a burglar.

Easy there Joan. I don't think the guy was trying to rob her. I seriously think he was high and drunk and really confused and maybe think he was frustrated and thought it was his own house. His sister was with him and passed out in the car. This story hasn't played out yet. Either way I hope the lady is exonerated of any charges, and she did feel bad about killing him, but I would stop short of saying with any certainty the guy was a 100% robber/rapist in this case.

Dude, come on.
He was gonna try and get his hands on the woman. Being a stoned, drunk junkie is not an excuse not to shoot the rampaging lunatic. He was making his way around the house to find a point of entry.
He smashed his way into the goddamn house.
Check out the Manson lamps he is rocking in that mugshot too.

Hey I am not saying he isn't guilty, but I am saying he was probably confused. I have taken too many vicodins on a mere 1 or 2 occasions and was more confused than Barack Obama without a teleprompter. He probably was guilty, just saying it's not a closed shut case as it appears. I did not see the Manson paraphernalia he was sporting either. Pretty scary dude. I am glad he is pushing daisies to be honest with you.

I don't know what he was planning once he got in the house. It could have been that he was so plastered that he thought he was at his own house.
Unfortunately, he did break the door down, it wasn't his house and regardless if he was stoned or not, he invaded her space and she acted within the parameters of the law for that state.

Dude failed.

I think one has to assume what he was planning and err on the side of personal safety.

Think he hurled a piece of furniture through the fuckin door to go, "Oh excuse me, maam. Might I please borrow your Grey Pou'Pon?"

gotta say... I'm not a drug user, but I've been plenty fucked up enough times to not even know how I got home, but I've never tried to go into someone else's house or apartment...
