Just one more reason that college football is a complete fucking embarrassment. How the fuck a guy gets into ANY college with an IQ of 60 is beyond my level of comprehension!

That we don't disagree on. Listen, most athletes can't put a fucking sentence together...I get that. What I don't understand is how someone who qualifies as "mentally retarded" (in the clinical sense) gets accepted into any college in the country. That is just beyond ridiculous.

Lets see... Gerhart rushed for 1700 yards and 26 touchdowns

Ingram rushed for 1500 yards and 15 touchdowns

Ingram wins the trophy? Why? Because he plays for an east coast team or because white running backs aren't allowed to win it?

It's bullshit.

Oh please, stop admiring yourself in the mirror - it's not directed at the SEC it's directed at the entire eastern seaboard.

Not sure...I know that when TG was only a Sophomore he rushed for less than 200
yards and had maybe one TD. He improved his numbers his Junior year, but
they pale in comparison to MI's sophomore season.
Perhaps his career stats played some part in the voting
process, had something to do with why he came in under the radar
and missed out on alot of the hype to begin with?!?!? Just a guess...
Seems like they expect a lot from sophomores these days...3 yrs running!!

BTW~ TT showed his classy side again!!!

The entire eastern seaboard is really down now, how the hell they gonna recover from zedul's berating???? Dumb blind bastard??? Really zedipshit, cant you do better than that??? And why do I want to see beyond the Mighty Mississippi??? So I can look at such negative pricks like you?
Its ok, zedul.....the SEC continues to dominate and you continue to salivate....lets see...3 confirmed National Championships in the last 4 years with a chance for a 4th one, 2 Heisman winners in the last 3 years. Sorry sport, think I'll continue to "admire myself in the mirror..."

"Zedipshit" - and you are telling me I can't do better?

Again, show me the "facts" of this domination. In actual games? IT DOESN'T EXIST.

The domination is completely mythical and only exists in the opinions and polls of EAST COAST SPORTSWRITERS who have nearly a 2 to 1 voting advantage over the west. The fact is... the top tier of the SEC struggled with the bottom tier of the Pac-10 this year... as is the case every year they play! In actual games played the Pac-10 holds a 12 to 7 edge over the past 10 years, since when does winning 7 out of 19 equate domination? YEA DUDE WE DOMINATE!!! WE WON LIKE 40% OF THE GAMES!! See? That's how east coast math works!!! That's why your graduation rates are utter shit as well.

I am surprised SEC graduates can even spell! But here in the Pac-10 they not only pump out pro football players and win games, they also supply the country with doctors and scientists, et. Those dumb jocks in the SEC couldn't even get into Stanford if they stopped playing football and focused entirely on academics!

As far as trophies? So what... USC alone has like 3 Heisman trophies in the last 7 or 8 years. What does that mean? It means that EAST COAST VOTERS are fixated on what's in their own back yard and USC. That's it.

And look at all these Heisman winners in the pros - Palmer is the only one worth a damn in the NFL.

Oh and on a much happier note!

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit is reporting that University of Washington quarterback Jake Locker will return for his senior season instead of declaring for the NFL draft, according to multiple tweets.

Adam Schefter of ESPN adds that "there was a strong sentiment [that Locker] would have been [the] first QB -- and quite likely first player -- drafted" in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Locker had also been drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 2009 MLB Draft. In August, Locker signed a contract with the team that did not limit his ability to play football for the Huskies.

With one year of eligibility remaining at Washington, Locker was considered to be a top prospect in the 2010 NFL Draft, with most analysts ranking him in the top three available quarterbacks. However, on December 14, 2009, ESPN's College Football Live reported that Locker would return for his senior season. Analyst Kirk Herbstreit said that he had confirmed this in a conversation with Locker, and Adam Schefter also confirmed it.

Schefter posted on his Twitter page that an anonymous NFL GM, in speaking with ESPN NFL analyst Chris Mortensen, told Mortensen that Locker is "a bigger, taller, right-handed version of Steve Young."

Prior to Locker's announcement declaring his intention to stay for his senior season, ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay had projected Locker as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

You surprised Locker's sticking around? I'm glad...

I'm really worried the Browns are gonna draft another QB which we just really don't need at this point...

Hey Z, I aint skeered. And no way Locker is #1 draft pick QB. Clausen has that and if not him either Bradford or the Colt. I refuse to argue with you, its just too easy.

It all depends who's got the first pick... if the Browns slip and Rams and Bucs play better, we will almost certainly (god I hope not) take another QB. We will go after Suh.

and for the reasonable posters in this thread (everyone but zedipshit) Iagree-Locker is a great college talent and like ESPN said he couldve been the #1 QB in the draft but I think he'll end up as a Alex Smith type though. He definetly made the right decision to stay in school.
That big ass DT, Suh from Nebraska will go #1....mark my words. Im the one who said Brian Kelly to ND long before he was even being mentioned, when it was just Urban Meyers name being brought up.

That's the guy I would absolutely take if I had the number one pick. Unfortunately, GM's almost always take a QB number one if there are any guys that have ANY potential, at all. Given the fact you have St. Louis and Tampa fighting it out for the number one pick, it will probably come down to whether or not Tampa thinks their young QB Freeman is their QB of the future. If St. Louis gets the number one pick, they're taking a QB.

John, since its apparent that Jimmy Clausen will be the first QB taken how do you think he does in the NFL? I know it depends on which team but say he goes to a TB or a SL?
I think hes got talent but like hes found out by underachieving at ND without the right supporting cast hes no better than the last QB taken.

While Quinn has not shown much to prove he can be a solid QB at this level, I'm still open-minded on him. The Browns handling of his situation has been beyond abominable. If he turns out to be good, I'll be more surprised than if he doesn't, but still, I hope he gets a shot the rest of this year and next year with us to see what he's made of...

Even yesterday, must be nice to be a young QB trying to learn and build your confidence, have a terrible team thanks to your coach's infatuation with practice squad players from his old Jets team, and STILL have a public "no comment" vote of non-confidence from your head coach:
