I definitely don't bet on anything. If I ever felt so inclined, I'd probably focus on something that didn't depend on whether the horse defecated right before the race or not

It's actually not that complex of a question. Wade is a guy who will let Jerry do exactly what he wants to do and that's what Jerry wants. I promise you that Jerry has a whole lot of input into every gameplan, and that would NEVER be the case with a strong head coach.

i guess big money will change the mindset of any coach..

i KNOW it doesnt work well to have a head coach constantly struggling with an owner who is inputing ideas

on how things should be run on the field.. but dang it .. if i was writing the checks then im having imput..

the other side doesnt always work either , where the coach has all the power.. i doubt Al Davis calls plays for the offense.. and his team is struggling terrible this year.. im just thinkign out loud of course..

I don't think Al Davis believe's in any rhythm on offense. He just urges the head coach to call a play that chucks it deep down field and drafts speed burners who can't do anything else. Ask the Steelers on that one.

Aside from horses, there isn't much going on in Kentucky when it comes to "sports", so a guy has to adopt a team, right?

Well, we DO have some pretty fine College b-ball in these here parts! (#3 last time I checked) 8) And yeah, I could give a shit about horse racing. Though the ladies do look fine when they get dolled up for the races (i.e. to gamble and drink mint julips till they can't see straight!)

And Larry, I haven't ALWAYS lived in the KY! :D

Watching the Vikings game today along with channel flipping to other games and highlights, I've come to realize, with all the new rules in the last few years, this year and upcoming years, we'll be seeing TOUCH or FLAG football within 20 years because you just cannot tackle ANY player anymore without getting flagged. Can't tackle this way, can't tackle that way, etc.....

I agree. Ridiculous nonetheless. Football was made a contact and collision sport for a reason. Why do you have helmets? To get away with hitting people. Plain and simple. That's like signing up for NASCAR racing and being penalized in points or in cash for hitting the wall, it doesn't make sense.

So the 4 teams that look like that's going to make the playoffs in the MR league are:

1. Rum Runners 9-5
2. TearYourassholeUP! 8-6
3. RWF's Raiders 8-6
4. YoungJRNY'S 8-6

Yup, me and you in the first round, and poor Dean is going to get his ass whipped by RR's again in the first round!!
I'm glad it's not me! Dean's squad put up some good #'s but RR's is ridiculous!

Looks like the Cards are doing their usual bi-polar image. Playing the Vikes VERY WELL, but flat against the 'Niners. The Cards must win these game to be taken serious, and they are a GREAT squad again this season.

Absolutely. It doesn't matter how bad a team is or how their seasons are going, rivalry games are great, and the NFC EAST teams always put on a show. Look at Arizona tonight, completely didn't show up thus far.

They weren't "great" last year and aren't great this year. They're a better than average team who isn't among the elite in the NFL. Out of the four division winners in the NFC, they will easily be the weakest of the four. They won't beat Minnesota in the playoffs. They won't beat New Orleans in the playoffs. They won't beat the Eagles in the playoffs. The Eagles are quickly becoming a favorite team of mine, that nobody is paying any attention to, when they playoffs roll around. With DeSean Jackson, that team will never be out of any game and will be able to strike quickly.

Everyone said that last season. Arizona will still be scary in the post season and can bring down anyone. As far as Philly, you read my mind. There is something about Green Bay and Philly at the moment that I think that people need to take a closer look at and I LOVE both teams. Philly was my NFC team before the season to represent in the Super Bowl, and since the Vikings and Saints are looking a tad vulnerable in recent weeks, a team like GB or Philly can def spoil their Super Bowl parties. The NFC is wide open if the Vikes or the Saints stumble. The pressure's on.

Yea everyone said that about the Eagles last year... till they ran into those "not so great" Cards. ;)

It's true... sometimes the Cards just don't show up, and they get turnover-itus. 5 turnovers in the first half this game!

You're fucking nuts dude. For the record, the guy sounded pretty much like me (in terms of vocabulary...not the robotic voice) until you started going down the gay road. I have nothing against gay dudes, but I can assure you that I'm disgustingly heterosexual, and that you'll NEVER hear me talking about the way Tom Brady looks!
