Journey, Def Leppard, Foreigner, etc. didn't make the cut even though they performed more shows then a lot of the acts listed below. Journey's previous two tours had both been in the top 20 despite having different singers over that period of time. Teaming up with Def Leppard and Heart didn't hurt them, that's for sure. All the reason for Azoff to pair them up with a great co-headliner their next tour.

Horseshit. Journey charged as much if not more than Springsteen did. Tickets for Bruce ran 65 and 95. Wasn't Journey the same? if not more? They played decent sized places, even in secondary markets.

I would like to see the number of shows played per artist. I am willing to bet McCartney didn't play half as many shows as Madonna, who did a huge world tour, not just a States or European tour. I would like to see people played per sitting. That would tell the whole story. U2 is number one based on stadium gigs.

Bruce is about where he should be considering the number of shows played. U2 played stadiums so that makes sense. McCartney only played ten gigs and made the list? Wow, impressive. Madonna charged more per gig than any artist on here save for John and Joel. She averaged what, $200 per gig?

Depeche Mode would have ranked higher. They had to cancel quite a few concerts b/c of David Gahan's illness and resulting surgery. I don't know how many they made up.
