9 year old Sings Journey...

Postby bluejeangirl76 » Sun Dec 20, 2009 4:35 am

A friend sent me this on Facebook... this kid isn't bad (for a 9 year old at least)! Kind of a cute video.
I assume the other kids playing the instruments are about the same age...

The real highlight is the kids playing the instruments... they have received a bit of hype around here in Cleveland. The kid guitar player is really good for his age. .. he actually was at the Cavs-Warriors game a month or so ago playing Eruption and Sweet Child O' Mine For Us... if the kid keeps up his development he'll be awesome. Unfortunately, I've heard his dad is an asshole who forces him to play for hours upon hours every day.

Musical Love Child?

Yeah, the musicians are the best part of that performance but let's not forget Jana's son.

He deserves a little sumptin, sumptin for tackling daddy's solo.

That's actually the same kid as the Separate Ways video. Once his hands get a little bigger and he can control his bends and vibrato more, he's gonna be a great player

You're right. I didn't notice that b/c of his hair. He's younger in the video I posted & I can clearly hear an improvement between "Who's Crying..." & "Separate Ways."

If what I hear about the little guitarist's father is true, it's a shame. Like I said, he's allegedly a slave-driver who forces him to play for hours and hours and is crazed about throwing his son into competitions and events. The kid might grow to hate playing when it should always be a great joy and hobby for him, even if he never "makes it" in music.
