I wonder what would happen if Journey ever hired a woman to front the band? It couldn't be all bad.

DSB is sure getting covered a lot.

The heartfelt emotional delivery has never been replicated!!! However, she did
a good job just singing the song, same as anyone else that can sing!!
I swear I thought I heard her say "Neal" ... Agree w/RVR, great job on guitar!!!

Martina is a doll, but I would kick her out of my bed just for being there!! She's
welcome to the guest room anytime though!!!

Wow, even on an "official" live video that can be touched up in the studio, she's still pretty flat and lifeless....the guitar player did a good job though. Even the auto-tuned cast of Glee had more emotion in their vocals than she did...

true. She has nice texture to her voice but performance never built vocalwise, just stayed flat -

- unlike my boy, whose powerful vocals sweeps you up in the song as it goes along.

This is NOT the performance I'd be pushing as a die-hard Arnel fan. Cracking and screaming all over the places. Puke

Me too, definitely in my top 5 female vocalists. Not so much on DSB though. She's got a killer voice, especially when she just busts loose on the chorus on this one, one of my favorites of hers.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQetQVXux8Y

Aren't there any other Journey songs people can karaoke on? Oh yeah, Open Arms. NEVER MIND, just keep churning out the DSB covers then.

Yeah, it's been discussed. That's another song that Simon said he never heard before. Mariah's version is better known outside the U.S. then the original. I think it was a top 10 hit in the Philippines when it came out. Also a big hit in Spain and South America. Randy Jackson may have produced it for her, I'm not sure. The album it was on sold over 20 million copies so Cain and Perry made a pretty penny on that one.
