What are you guys up to tonight?

Postby artist4perry » Fri Dec 25, 2009 9:17 am

I am sick, so I am homebound and not able to do the things I wanted to do. My tree is thrown together half hazzardly, the cats have it lilting to the side, but they are having a blast! Especially the new kitten. :D My son came home for a week, and I am glad he is home. He is relaxing just now. A ham is in the oven, potatoes are on the stove, and christmas music is playing. I hope the rest of you are having fun, if you are checking in from time to time say hello and let us know what is going on with you tonight! Merry Christmas, and Happy Hanukkah or whatever your family is celebrating! :D

Getting into the vodka in celebration of 2 well-deserved weeks off work! (but I have no ice  - good thing the vodka was in the freezer). Merry Christmas!

Went to Sears and the Glendale Galleria this morning, not too crowded. Wrapped some presents, the old lady has a pot roast cooking and is doing her nails. The weather's nice so my son's out playing basketball with friends. Just chillin' out until the evening settles in.

Just ran out with my wife and daughter for a bite to eat. The roads are terrible. Now my daughter and I are finishing up wrapping my wifes presents. She wont let me pick the bow colors or tags. Everyone have a good night.

Get well Babyblue. I have an infection trying to go into my lungs. Blech. Trying to avoid Pnumonia.

I hope all are having fun tonight. Your such great folks. I truly have enjoyed getting to know you all. And even if I don't always see eye to eye with everyone on all subjects.........who does?........know I love what each of you bring to the table here. Thanks for a wonderful year here at MR.

Andrew, Seriously this is a wonderful place. You have created such a great place for people all over the world to come together and hang out with each other. I wish I had more to give this year, but I will try and give a little more often, and not wait till the holidays. Thank you for all you do. Merry Christmas great wombat. To you and all your kin!

Well, tired of listening to music and cleaning cupboards so I think I'll watch Season 1 of "Monk" from Netflix. And then, there's always laundry...Had my turkey, brown rice, and broccoli and I am thankful that I am healthy this holiday.

I hope that all you "sickies" get better by tomorrow so you can enjoy yourselves! Don't cough on anyone!

Had to shovel 4 feet of snow from the end of the driveway and 3 parts of the sidewalk earlier left by the snow plows (had 9" so far and expecting 12" more tonight and tomorrow) and will repeat tomorrow and Saturday the way it looks. It sure is pretty out there.

Talked to my sisters and parental unit yesterday and today. Thankfully, they all got out of here despite the weather to where they wanted to go for the holiday and will spend time with their chosen loved ones. Volunteering at a church dinner tomorrow downtown which should be fun.

Merry Christmas,

Postby cheekymonkey » Fri Dec 25, 2009 12:40 pm

I am having a quiet Christmas alone this year. Went out and bought myself a new bed and linens, and I can hardly wait to get horizontal. Have loads of great food and movies, and will get together with friends on the 26th.

I just want to thank all you Crazyyyyyyyyy MotherFuckerssssssssssss for a great year . Just like any family, you have made me laugh and you have made me cry, and you have made me think. I think we should repost the Snuggie topic from last Christmas, as I don't think I have ever laughed so hard or so long....

I truly want to wish everyone of you a wonderful, Merry and safe Christmas or Holiday Season, and a Happy, Healthy and Wealthy New Year!!!! And Jesus, let the Earth shake some fucking music out of SMFP!!!!!!!! Doesn't he know it's better to give than receive, lol

Hope you feel better for ChristmasDay, Ginger & BB. I'm baking cookies and cornbread and thinking about what else I can bake while all the stuff is out & the oven is on. Still have to wrap presents after the kids are asleep & of course, watch White Christmas (again) & probably craft some more (been making everyone cute handstitched ornaments with their names) next to the fire. Merry Christmas - Happy Holidays everyone!

Went to see Up in the Air (George Clooney ... yum) and out to dinner with friends. Came home to find the dogs (who were pissed because dinner was way late) had unwrapped several gifts and chewed the corner off the latest Robert Jordan book that I had gotten for one of my sons. Fortunately, the son loves the dog and will not care.

Tomorrow, making lasagna, doing gifts and stockings with my boys, and watching White Christmas. Seeing my mom and sister next week.
