Hmm. What am I up to? Just got home.
Had (as usual) an AWESOME Christmas eve with my brothers/sisters. Might have had onnnnne more glass of wine than I should have, HOWEVER, my sister is 15 minutes from home and I really didn't feel that last glass of chardonnay (not one of those asses though to get Pinot! WTF?) until about 4 minutes ago, and I was already home and in my jammies by then. :D NOW... mon freres, it's time for A CHRISTMAS STORY for 24 hours on TBS. It's windy, cold and raining like a mother. What the hell?

I have to drag my damn ass to my mom's brother's house tomorrow. SUCKS. Someone save me.

NIGHT!!

Theraflu? I've never tried that. Usually I take Nyquil and it makes me numb to the world and I sleep like a baby. Might have to try Theraflu next time I catch the bug. Hope you feel better soon Babyblue.

Okay, who's still partying on a Christmas eve? Check out this Roger Hodson (Supertramp) video that Carla posted earlier:

He sounds pretty good in 2009!

I remember when The Logical Song was released and I became a fan. The shame of it is, I couldn't tell you the name of one single member even though I listen to them quite regularly.

Dammit. My first and only day off is this morning. I got so shit faced at my girls last night I had to crash, sleeping on her 2X4 that she calls a bed! haha. I came home to a wreck of a damn house and decided to clean the house and all the dishes for moms (She was up for 28 hours working around the clock baking cookies, she has a bakery in our kitchen and bakes for many people, wedding, parties, Christmas, etc) so I'm happy she didn't have to come down to a shit sty. Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone, I'm going to go enjoy some Grinch with my puppy and drink some spiked egg nog, terrible towel in hand! haha.

Everyone be safe and have a great holiday! :D

awe, that was a sweet thing to do for your mom! I actually thought of her when I made my pizzelles a couple days ago wishing I'd remembered the filling she said she used in them  I remembered talking about all her yummy Italian cookies last year. That's hard work.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Travis!

Well.....GUESS WHAT  :x

I AM SICK!!!!

DAMMIT ALL!! I'm home by myself right now; Mark & his Dad & Brother are at their Aunt's house.

Here's what brought it on.....I never heard of this type of reaction to food before:

I had Italian bread with a really delicious Dinner at my Mom's - she made a Raspberry Trifle; I decided "Hey; why not? It's the Holidays!"

BAAAAAD DECISION.

You see, within the last 10 or so years, I kind of "detoxed" myself from a lot of stuff; Dessert included....and for some people that have a sensitive system (me  ), the yeast and the sugar can mix in the stomach and cause a type of flu-like condition.....I felt so horrible today that I had to look it up - and yup; that's what happened!

http://74.125.93.132/search?q=cache:aqA ... clnk&gl=us

"...Fresh bread or cooked breakfast foods are bad forms of starch to feed them [children]; for their tendency is to eat too fast--they rush such food into their stomachs without sufficient insalivation.

This induces fermentation, bringing about a continuous acid state of the stomach.

If jam, jelly, syrup, or honey is eaten with the fresh bread, or if sugar and cream are used on the breakfast mushes, the sweets intensify the fermentation--acidity of the stomach--building catarrh of the stomach, chronic catarrh of the throat, enlargement of the tonsils, nasal catarrh, adenoids, etc."

I have a sore throat, post-nasal drip, and body-aches.....all from sugar and starch.

WTF?????

Oh no Nora, i do hope you get to feeling better real soon. It's so not fun being sick on Christmas.

Agreed. Get well Nora. I know you didn't want the food bug, but I hope you got everything else you wanted for Christmas.
