I hope John's views of Bellichick still holds up, esp against Houston! :D

Belichick isn't in the game to shake hands, kiss babies, or make friends! He shows up every day for one reason and one reason only...TO WIN! None of the other nonsense matters to this guy, even a little! I guarantee you that even if the Patriots have home field wrapped up right through the Super Bowl, Belichick will still have all of his healthy starters in most of the games! Again, it's just the way he's always done things!

John from Boston

I just said the same thing. Bellichick simply plays to win baby, doesn't matter if it's meaningless or not. Here we go Patriots! :D

The Bears suck, The Giants suck, and the Chargers are a whopping ONE game over 500, so I don't think beating any one of those three teams is anything to be overly boastful about! The one point I do agree with you on is that the NFC is still the JV league, and I think no matter who the AFC representative is in the Super Bowl, they'll come away with the victory. It is simply a MUCH more physical league, and it's simply not the NFC's time!

John from Boston

FUCK THE GIANTS! Twisted Evil For the record, I've always been a Coughlin fan. He's an old school, no nonsense football coach, and the NFL needs more coaches like Coughlin! That said, some of us don't have it in our DNA to root for ANYTHING New York! I remember after 9/11, everyone was saying that we should all get behind the Yankees to win it all (The Yankees were in the playoffs a month after the tragedy). Even then my attitude was "Fuck the Yankees"! The events of 9/11 did nothing to change who my allegiances are to! I also never viewed 9/11 as something that happened to New York or Boston (both planes that crashed in NY originated from Boston). It was a tragedy that happened to our entire country! Okay...enough of my rant! The Giants are losing this game, period, end of story! The Patriots played their absolute worst game of the season against the Giants, and the Giants played their absolute best game of the season, and guess who still won the game Twisted Evil

John from Boston

^The Giants won the Super Bowl.

It's about 10 pages in a row where John is like a untamed gorilla throughout the Patriots 2007 season and shooting himself with the arrogance steroid in each post. Gave me a headache. John dominates the pages and wouldn't let a single person come in with an opinion before shooting shit down everyone's throat. Even when a fan came in celebrating the Giants win in the SB, John was all over it spewing hate. What a character:D

Listen teenage Travis...

I promise you that if I picked apart every NFL thread that I would find just as many wrong predictions by you as I would by anyone else. My predictions aren't always right, but I'm probably right just as many times as the so-called "experts" are. The nature of making predictions is that you're going to get more than your share wrong. I didn't see you on this board predicting the Saints would lose to Dallas until three games after the game was over and then claiming that it was the biggest no brainer of the week (in spite of the fact it wasn't a pick you made)!

It's just funny how you talk as if everything you say is GUARANTEED to happen while others talks amongst themselves with possibilities. That's the part where you come in and have a bone with people's opinion's. I admit, I am wrong at times but more times than none, I pick right, even over the so called experts as well, but that's the art of claiming your opinion. Also, that Cowboy's statement was correct. I am on other message boards as well, picked the Cowboys in a poll (was the only one) at my dads work and won money because of it! In your face JFB. (ducks)

You're a complete jackass. I was the first person to sign onto this board after the Super Bowl ended to congratulate Giants fans. Go find the post, fuckwad, because I promise you that it's there! I'm completely done with this board and talking football with retards like you and your gay neigbor who wants to suck Valory off. I simply don't have the energy or desire to play your juvenile games. When it's no longer fun, it's time to move on, so have fun counting trophies with your follically challenged neighbor Stu and enjoy the playoffs.

Way to keep it classy, Boston! ;) Oh come on. I'm just messing with yah old buddy. Don't be a wuss. Seems like you can't take it as well as you dish out, RELAX!

Here's that link BTW: You come right out the gates and claim the guy is a jackass! You gave props to the Giants, which you always do, but your first intention is to bash the dude's spirit's into oblivion!

Most people refer to 'Sour grapes' in the wrong way.....

Sour grapes would be like not winning the SB, then claiming you didn't want to win it anyway.

Just like the fox couldn't reach the grapes, and proclaimed, 'They're probably sour anyway'

Very possible. It's always the teams that have the under dog chip on their shoulders who usually enter the playoffs like rabid dawgs. I see the Cards as one of them (the '08 Cards, the '07 Giants, the '05 Steelers, and the '01 Pats come to mind.) You'll have your favorites, but once the playoffs role around, there IS no tomorrow, and certain teams like the Cards come out determined to be back breakers to the other contenders, making them as dangerous as a clear cut favorite. Even though the Cards made it to the Super Bowl last season, they are STILL overlooked and STILL known as underdogs. We'll see.

According to this guy, there should be no team as a 6th seed because they "don't deserve it" It's not about deserving it, it's about qualifying for the tournament, ANYWAY POSSIBLE. The NFL is magical because of this. I bet this guy is a N.Y Yankee's fan and would rather have a one set match every year and not give anyone that's "worthy" a legitimate shot. This guy needs to understand this is the way the NFL works. Last season, everyone said the Cards should vacate their post season run after their late regular season embarrassment. They went on to represent in the Super Bowl.

After last years THRASHING of the Cowboys, I hope the Iggles do it again and again and again. What a great game this is going to be. Two years in a row to where the last game of the season for Dallas and Philly will end in significance. Division rivalrly games that end Week 17 in meaning is always a plus for the NFL and this should be a good one. Would be hilarious for Dallas to get creampie'd AGAIN by Philly so I don't have to see that creep Jerry Jones every 5 seconds. Going to be a great Week 17 regardless.

Welker just blew out his knee. That's what you get with field turf. TERRIBLE news for New England, just TERRIBLE. In other news, Roethlisberger to Wallace connection is nightmarish! Looks to be a shootout in Miami. Both Ben and Henne are as sharp as it gets. I like this Henne guy. He's def the answer for Miami.

Nice goaline stand by N.E. Freddy Taylor fumbled though in EZ, TD Houston. Houston misses extra point. Houston is trying EVERYTHING they can to just lose this game. 13-13 Half. Houston should run away with it now and womp on N.E's 2nd stringers if they want to be an average squad. The Steelers could of went up 24-10 but threw an unnecessary trick play that Santonio Holmes threw it in the air like a punt. 17-10 Steelers halftime. LaMarr Woodley is a giant and noone can stop him, even with 2 blockers he's getting through.

OOPS, tied at 27-27. If it weren't for a missed PAT, HOU would be in front Goddammit.

Steelers are in their own kind of trouble anyway. Miami is so depleted with injuries yet the "Dangerous" Steelers can't put them away.

Rejoice Deano! Houston did everything they could to lose the game but they pulled through and picked Brady on their own 30. After that, Bellichick said that's enough and didn't bring Brady out on the last drive. 27-13 I thought it was hand in bag. Not eliminated. The Steelers need the Jets to lose, the Ravens to lose AND the Broncos. I'm proud though. They took care of their own business and went out like champs winning 3 in a row! HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!

NBC just said that Brady broke his index finger . No matter who the Bengals play, they will lose the 1st playoff game. Tonight was a weird game, kind of like going through the motions on both sides of the ball. Why was Benson rested and Larry Johnson barely used?
