What do you mean, we love the Big11 :P
kidding aside, I do like Jaxon's work on ROR they didn't miss a beat w/out Valory, he added a new twist.

I love Randy's work on there as well. For some reason, even as a very young kid, I was always drawn to 80s culture/movies (keep in mind I was 4 in 1990, so it's not like I was a child of the 80s). This is even before I got into 80s music much later once I got a guitar. But anyway, I've always loved 80s movies and listening to some of those fat lines Randy lays down (eg Once You Love Somebody... can't you just picture mulleted Mel bagging some hot broad?) makes me hearken back to watching Mel Gibson teach me the birds and the bees in Lethal Weapon or watching Arnie, Kurt Russell, Charles Bronson, or Sly gun down a buncha mohawked 80s bad guys. ROR just really sets the mood for me and Randy's a big part of it. Weird post, I know, deal with it.

I really think we're a year early with these requests since they're not touring again til 2011. By then this thread will be dinosaur bones. (Yeah, I heard the rumor of them touring with Styx, but no confirmation from the band itself)

That seems to have been put to bed with Foreigner taking the spot in place of Journey.

**RUMOR**
The individual members will give attention to solo projects and touring this year and part of next year. At some point after that, they'll re-evaluate which direction they want to go with the band. Depending how that goes, they'll look at having a full tour in early 2012.

Remember, Neal has never come out and said the band will be touring in 2011, that has just been an assumption made by the fans.

More than other songs, I'd LOOOOOVE to hear AP's take on State of Grace! :D

And I agree with "78". Some great tunes on the later albums that'd sound great in concert.

I don't think so. that song is very Augeri. imho. I don't love AP on EOTB either. no particular reason. I like AP best on the REVELATION stuff. 'specially the ballads.

......did I just say ballads??? yup, but that's mho.

I think a lot of fans like some of the ROR material and I've always wondered why they don't let AP take a shot at more of them.

I agree. they are more suited to his style. good point. IBAWY by JSS is still my fav but I'd be willing to listen to AP try!!

I would like to see Chain Reaction played next year, since I don't think they played it at my concert this year. I would like Turn Down the World Tonight. Take out Open Arms and put When You Love a Woman at every show next year. It's a winner live by Arnel. I would like to see some ROR. Put back Stay Awhile at the end of Lights. Put Rubicon in. And keep Still They Ride with Deen next year b/c I want to hear it again. A must have, extended version of What I Needed.

I agree with everything except Precious Time ( Never have liked that one ) and Still they Ride, Deen does great job, but I would rather hear Suzanne if they going to do something different with him.

now we're talking peeps!! Neal could totally pull off People and Places and DEEN ON SUZANNE!!!! sorry--I'll calm down now.....

Oh, and Ross so digs the older stuff. He really plays and gets into the groove. It was fun to watch that.

CR, DOA and EOTB--no. I don't think anyone--not even SP himself --can do it like JSS. I'm firm on that.

I have been rallying for STAY AWHILE to be back in the lineup since they started back in '98. It's just not as good without it. imho

I didn't know he had ties to Journey.

Prairie: Oh yeah! I think the bass player makes a drummer—especially in a live situation. I’ve played with some great bass players, and I always play differently with different bass players. I’ve played with Rick Anderson from The Tubes for forty years. Another great bass player I play with is Bobby Vega, who’s played with everybody under the sun: Bo Diddley, Etta James, Santana, Sly & The Family Stone. He’s the most unbelievable, funky bass player. And of course there’s Jack Cassady with Jefferson Airplane, who’s amazing. Another great bass player was Ross Valory, who I started the band Journey with, along with [keyboadist] Gregg Rollie, [guitarist] Neil Schon, and this singer named George Tichner. This was before Steve Perry. I never made it to their first album, but we wrote all the songs on the demo that got them their first record deal. So I’m on the demo for the first album. I’m also on a live recording of their very first shows opening for Santana in ’73

Thanks for posting Chubs. I hope they put together some additional shows. I would love to see Neal with Marco again. Great Bass player and great guy. They better put together more than just a NAMM show and get a kickass CD out ...and Prairie Prince!! Wow that really goes back to early Journey. :D
