I like Generations more than Revelation. I still think A Better Life is really good.

I'm also ok with BIALY, it's cute.

No, it totally does.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I'm with ya there, or at least close. I might not like Gen more than Rev as a whole, but the great songs on Gen beat Rev's best songs, tho Rev is more consistent for me.

Faith in the heartland and Place in Your Heart can hang are great jouney songs . A better life is decent. THen it the album falls off a cliff. Generations is like a football team that scores three touchdowns in the first quarter and then goes onto lose 46-21!

I personally like it more then the Revelations.

The problem with it is that they really needed to trim the fat off of the album and fix the production work. The songs that they really could've done without are Butterfly, Better Together, and Believe. They should've also given Neal a new song to sing instead of an old Schon/Perry song from the Hammer/Schon thing he did.

It has some very good tracks: Faith In The Heartland, The Place In Your Heart (both rerecorded with Arnel), Knowing That You Love Me, Beyond The Clouds, Never Too Late. Gone Crazy is a pretty good song. The rest of the tracks in my eyes are average at best.

Since Perry left I consider this to be the 2nd best full album Journey release (Arrival being 1st).

I like Gen more than Arrival. Arrival some good songs...HP a great song...but overall too long of an album (imo). Gen perfect length...and, if you can't have SP singing Journey, might as well let the whole band take a crack at lead.

Also, I thought SA was trying too hard to sing like SP in Arrival. In Gen, he had his own voice. I liked all the songs he sang in Gen...even Believe and Butterfly (which a lot of posters hate)...and BTC was his best ballad with Journey (imo).
