So my event is potentially 2.5 days long....

Do you have the name of that sleazeball joint? I'd being willing to put up with porn stars and adult entertainment to see Poley and D2....

I just posted the info because I know the area - it's like 5 minutes from my home.
I had no idea that place became a music venue - I think it used to be a movie theater.
And I didn't know they hosted porn events.

Dunno. This place is not at all far from my house, and if Drew is having MRF in the 'burbs as he said, then you're talking 45-60 minutes away, at my guess, based on my drives to the 'burbs. Longer if you account for Friday night traffic.

My city venue just fell thru (not to mention it was expensive). So I may not have a choice.

Is the Burbs really so bad???

The burbs would be great! Personally, I think Schaumburg would be a great location. It's not too horribly far from Chicago, it's close to O'Hare, and there are lots of hotel and restaurant options. Not to mention the fact that I work in Schaumburg, so that would make a Friday night event really easy for me...
It's all about me, after all! :P

No...that wasn't what I meant. They were asking about the D2 show... I said it was in the city, so not close to the 'burbs, which you'd said was your choice. The 'burbs would be way tons easier on most, I think, for this because of lodging, parking, etc. 'Burbs is definitely a good good choice.

Do you live in Burbank? I'm about 25 minutes from 115 Bourbon Street (south side of the city) and have been there many times. I'm trying to roll the scenario of MR Fest II being there through my head ... and I'm liking it!

Alsip ... home to the areas coolest flea market! Not sure how old you are, but there used to be a killer bar in your area back about 15 years ago (maybe more) that had 80's cover bands there all of the time! I believe it was on 127th street near ... Kedzie-area. I saw the best Scorpions cover band and an incredible Black Sabbath tribute band there ... and many, many more as well. Cool to know there are some Chicago area people on this board. I'll probably do the 7th Heaven show there (115 BS) in March. :)

I'm actually starting to think it was 159th street. Man, it was sooo long ago. I remember seeing a Queensryche tribute band there as well. Had a nice stage in there.
