Turning into a defensive struggle, too bad GB dug their hole deep from their first 2 possessions and early.

What a thriller! Best game and most entertaining BY FAR. Glad it came around and is living up to the hype, ALL in one QRT! Just wow. Shoot out it is. 38-38!

best game of the bunch...in a game with no defense - its a defensive score that wins the game. AZ better find it's 'D', or it's lights out in NO.

WOW! What a finish. What is with the epidemic of absolutely HORRENDOUS clutch kicking lately? I've seen so many missed, easy FGs in NCAA Bowl and NFL Playoffs already that its sickening.

I'm glad to see Kurt Warner move on, I love the guy and this is probably his last hurrah.

Aaron Rodgers played a great game and it's unfortunate he had to be the one to undo the packers in the end. But, he will be back, you can count on that.

it wasn't a blowout. Baltimore didn't score on any drive that started on their side of the 50. Uncharacteristic TOs by Brady & co. led to the loss. take away the TOs and NE wins.

Dude, it was a MAJOR... MAJOR blowout. One of the biggest blowouts for N.E this decade, if you don't count Buffalo's 31-0 thrashing in 2003. The telling sign was when Baltimore had the ball DEEP into their own territory with about 2:00 left, and N.E had 2 timeouts to use. N.E, just like all game, knew what was coming, and they STILL couldn't stop Baltimore's rushing attack. All they had to do was limit them and stop them on ONE third down, in the teeth of the defense. Instead of getting the ball back, Balty kneels it and goes into Half Time. That was the telling sign of a team being out matched, and on their way to a blowout. N.E got murdered.

One of the greatest playoff games I've ever seen. GB shot themselves in the foot early with 2 turnovers on their first two possessions, in their territory that resulted in 14 ARI points. Looked to be a raping, but the surprise onside in the 3rd made it the game it was and I credit McCarthy for having balls. Defense's were terrible and should be embarrassed all the way back into the arms of mommy and daddy. Despicable performance, but both teams lived up to what the NFL wants. POINTS.

You can't say enough about Boldin's replacement, Doucet. The man came ready to play and possibly played better than what Boldin would of had to offer. Warner is still one of the most dangerous QB's to hit turf. Still, with that D, I believe N.O's defense is a little more stout and will force Warner into a few mistakes. He was pretty much mistake free against GB, going 24-28 for over 300 yards and 5 td's at one point!

     $*&%^@*&%^$!!!

STILL BUMMED this morning... but will survive. The team made a great comback...and the Cards kicker can thank his lucky stars that the helmet to helmet on Rogers wasnt called...
but hey... the Packers defense did not have an answer to hall of famer Kurt Warner... he was simply not meant to be beaten today. AN amazing and heart breaking loss...
just one of the best NFL games...since the Packers Steelers game earlier in the year... ;-)

If the team can stay together for a bit... the Packers have a very nice future ahead of them. GO CARDS beat the Saints this weekend. as long as Dallas beats the Vikes the season will be complete...
I will NOT be able to take it if Brett wins the super bowl...

The Pack got one HELLUVA quarterback who plays with grit, a great receiving core and an offense that can put points up in the snap of a finger. If the Pack can draft well and get the right personal for the 3-4 then they could be the class of the NFC in 2010. Even though their defense killed them yesterday, you can't help but applaud them for never tanking and fighting hard to the bitter end, something to hang your hats on. The Packers have a VERY bright future.

Bill Simmons went 0-4 with his picks this week, but he called Doucet being the "Unlikely Hero." What a call. The guy was LIGHTS OUT

BTW, never got to comment on the NE game. I just want to say this: Booing the team after they fall behind 14-0 in the wildcard game shows just how terrible the bandwagon New England Poser-iots fans are. What spoiled jokes.

I agree with the Rooney rule and why it is there, but I don't necessarily agree totally with it that it NEEDS to be enforced. An NFL team should hire and bring in whoever they'd want to bring in. More times than none, an NFL franchise or GM knows the guy they want and a rule like the Rooney rule derails that already difficult progression. It's a torn thing. It's a wonderful thing and very heads up but race should never be a conflict in the NFL. I think the NFL has been fair to all figures involved and all GM's and owners should be aware of a Tony Dungy, Mike Tomlin, or the Caldwell's that are out there, race aside.

With all of this public bashing of the rule and the reports of tampering or non tampering with it, I believe the NFL will get rid of it if not next year, than within the next couple years. I agree it's not needed and the time has passed on the whole reasoning for it. It left its mark and the NFL should take notice without enforcing it upon any organizations.

My biggest issue is that it's insulting to the very people it aims to protect. It'd be one thing in a private company where the hiring policy was unknown outside of the human resources department and select executives. When the rule is publicized as it is and leads to so many sham interviews, it's just a parody of its intended purpose.

Sorry. I really didn't care who won the Green Bay- Arizona team as I like both squads, but there was CLEARLY an illegal 15-yard penalty helmet-to-helmet hit that is called 99.99% of the time that would have negated the holding penalty. I wouldn't be surprised if he got fined by the NFL for that one. And there is NO excuse for not calling the blatantly obvious 15-yard unsporstmanlike facemask penalty on the last play of the game that should have given Green Bay a first down at the Cards' 43 (since the holding call would have been wiped out). The refs really did ruin this game and stole it from the Packers.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

I don't get this rule at all. As an owner I should be able to interview and hire whomever the fuck I want. I don't want a fucking Mexican coach ... I'm not gonna interview any! Why should it be mandated when, in the end, I'm just gonna hire the fucking guy I want to anyway! This process is nothing more than disgusting political posturing to please the race hustlers.
