Favre has carried this team ALL SEASON and it's showing. This is possibly the greatest I've seen the man play. He's making genius's out of the Vikes front office and also Brad Childress.

You're the one already on the Saints pogo stick so I have no rebuttal. If you don't admire what the dude, at 40 years old, brings to the quarterback position then you just don't get things. The dude's an iron man and when he retires, the NFL's toughness bar will drop significantly. All these pampered ass, pussy ball players today aren't even close to being in Favre's league.

Sorry, Saints played TERRIBLE. IF it wasn't for the TERRIBLE fumbles, esp on the goaline, the Vikes are on their way to 44. Plus, that ball before the kick hit the ground. Maybe it's not in Favre's legacy. Last two Championships, ending in 2 picks. Terrible ending, ONCE AGAIN. He shouldn't go out this way. Regardless, congrats Saints fans for takin care of business.

I hope Manning tears them a new asshole.

Bad calls are bad calls no matter what. There were planty that weren't even called. There was holding all over the damn place and those were never called. You could see them plain as day in the replays. That last catch in OT was NOT a catch by any means. He didn't have control and the ball hit the ground. It is true that the Vikings beat themselves for the most part with the turnovers, but the late hits on Farvie were not getting called as often as they were happening. And that "touchdown" in the 2nd quarter should have been challenged because his knees hit before any ball crossed a line.

Also, the replay clearly showed that there was no pass interference in OT. The guy simply feel on his own. Then, as you mentioned, the ball that was clearly NOT a catch. And there was also Pierre Thomas having the ball knocked back and bobbling it, yet they gave him forward progress AFTER they reviewed it. The rule clearly states bobbled balls go back to the point that you re-established possession. That should have been Vikings ball.

Lots of bad calls against the Vikings at the end, but the dumbfuck that was the 12th guy in the huddle cost them a shot at a game-winning 52 yard field goal attempt, and Favre threw a horrible pass when he should have taken the 5 yards and had a 47 yard field goal attempt to win the game. Doesn't matter ... Minnesota was getting 4 so I have an extra $200 in my pocket. :)

Still doesn't change the fact that he's a shit teammate. Ask his former teammates with the Pack. Jerking them all around a couple of years ago with his sham of a retirement. It was all just a ploy to get out of his contract. He tried smearing the Packers organization just so he wouldn't tarnish his legacy in Green Bay. He could have been a man and asked for his release instead of "retiring". But he didn't. Why? He wouldn't have been thought so highly of stating, "I want out of my contract so I can go sign with the Vikings." Would he? He screwed with the Packers and his teammates that suited up and protected and played with him.

A couple weeks after "retiring" and hearing the Packers state how excited they were to start the Rodgers era. He throws a feeler out about getting the itch to come back. The Packers tell him to give them the word and they'll call another presser to announce he's changed him mind and coming back to the team.
Not getting the response he expected, he says he's staying retired. So he intentionally tries to bring harm to the roster/or get his release by waiting until after the Packers draft 2 QB's in the draft to add needed depth at the position, then he comes out and says he wants to play again. Imagine being a teammate to that asshole! They're trying to get to the next step and your "ironman" QB is working to destroy it. No admiration for him at all! In fact I have more admiration for Michael Vick. At least he came out and admitted what he did and that he lied and ultimately paid a heavy, heavy price.

I couldn't have fucking said it better myself. Fuck Favre and his fuckin harem of admirers. The fact of the matter is the guy should always be remembered for two things: (1) Being a scumbag, disloyal teammate and (2) Being a perennial playoff choke. Fuck him.

BTW: How long until we start hearing from the media about all the injuries Favre was supposedly playing with this season or at least in the NFC Championship game? Today? Wednesday? End of the week? A month from now? LOL

The hate will be there from either side from either bitter people, fans, or media, who blow things like this out of proportion. Favre earned the right to do whatever he pleased and first and foremost it's a business. To me, when it comes down to it, I admire the way the man plays the game, esp at the age of 40. These guys are raging bulls out there and Favre is an old school guy that played through the generations and for him to hold up the way he did and have one of his most productive seasons in a long time is remarkable. This isn't sandlot football.

He threw the pick, but that outcome yesterday was hardly because of Favre, who was the best player on the field last night. It was his teammates gagging the ball up all game long, losing 2 inside the 10. Hate all you want and that's cool but I'm not changing the way I feel and I could care less, I just enjoy watching the dude play. Like I said, shit like this may be in his legacy. I see him coming back for one more and playing out his Vikings contract.

The Saints did not play a "terrible" game. They played very hard against a strong D and a very determined legendary QB. Did they get a break or two? Yeah, but SO DID THE VIKINGS! Also, those turnovers didn't just "happen". The Saints opportunistic D MADE most of them happen. And in the end, the Vikes killed themselves with that stupid 12 man penalty.
I TRULY can't see how anyone could begrudge a city and franchaise that has been through what NOLA and the Saints have a trip to the Superbowl.

I love when Favre was writhing around on the ground looking like he was @ death's door, they carry him off the field, change his sock and boom he's back out there.
Making boneheaded plays.

Everyone will have his horse in the race. They're entitled to that. I was in the tank for the Saints.

It's hyperbole to say they played terrible whoever said that (Travis?), but I will say that the offensive playcalling left a lot to be desired this game. Granted, the Vikings D was pretty tough play-to-play aside from the game-breaking plays the Saints made, but there were still a lot of headscratchers. One would be the pitch to the RB on 3rd and 1 to Thomas in OT... that was just a strange call. Brees is only 5'11 so I can understand not running the draw, but still, why a pitch? The athletic dive over the line play worked, but just barely...

FAVRE DID IT AGAIN!! THANKS VIKINGS.... this is pay back for all you Viking fans who say the PACKERS SUCK... WELL
THE VIKINGS SUCKED WHEN IT MATTERED THE MOST... YESTERDAY... ;-)

TAKE it from a Packer fan who said that Brett should have stayed retired after 2007... your legacy BRETT will now be remembered for the three NFC title games at the end of your career... loss against the Eagles, the loss against the Giants and yesterday...
THE GREAT ONES GO OUT ON TOP... the rest are pretenders... he will be hall of fame but its tarnished now in my mind...

WOW... now let the off season implosion on the Vikings franchise begin!!

BRETT GUTTED out a performance of a lifetime, only to have it end on an INT... I was silently smiling last night at the end...

I was all about the Saints...
For the die hard fans of Louisiana, not just N'awlins!!
I'm talking about the fans that populated the "DOME"
losing season after losing season and still showed up
w/hope!!

I'm especially proud for the S'port fans who
held their ground and stood by their sad state of a
team for lifetimes, while CONSTANTLY surrounded by Cowboy Fans w/in
your face mentalities. This recent at home loss was probably the worst!
It's all about geography, folks ...

Yeah, there were bad calls, missed calls and unchallenged calls just like
every other game and we're the experts that could've made the difference!!
Saints "D" needs plenty of work and once the people from DAWN save Peterson's
hands, his little legs will take him far (love him)!! I'm sad that this is the
way Favre may go out!! I'm a fan of his career and in awe of his talent, he played
a great game, but he looked frail and much older than his years...it's time!!

I personally dislike the fact that this Victory is being tied in w/the whole Katrina
Disaster... while it may bring a tear to many an eye, it pisses other's off!!
It's not about receiving a reward for having experienced a disaster, it's about
hard work, hiring the right people, putting together a winning team and HARD WORK!!

Cheers to all you SAINTS FANS, you give us hope...
