Worst band ever: Free Credit Report.com band

Postby Ehwmatt » Sun Jan 24, 2010 3:13 pm

God, why can't marketers come up with GOOD fucking jingles? There are so many absolutely horrendous commercial jingles that i have to see over and over while watching my sports (Australian Open tonight), and these fuckers are some of the worst. I'm so sick of these shitty annoying songs/commercials. Aside from that, freecreditreport.com is a shady fuckin organization, they tried to bill my buddy a few years back when he ran a report or something like that.

You're actually COMPLAINING about these guys? Dude, go grab a book at Barnes & Noble or something!!!

In their defense, the tunes these guys play may or may not be written by them. Either way, all of them are amusing, several are funny, and a couple of them do actually have halfway cool melodies, believe it or not.

I've heard much worse by some of the young "bands" signed to major labels this last decade!! :P

Well, they are not so much a band as a collection of actors miming and lip syncing to songs written by a bunch of advertising people.

Yea yea. My grandfather had an advertising/marketing agency in Toledo, and the jingles they came up with were always good. Nowadays, we get so many obnoxious/bad jingles or in absence of that, just a fuckin rock song they've bought the right to use and subsequently ruined (here's lookin at you, John Mellencamp). Such a lack of good creativity.

BTW, see you in a few weeks... think we've got a nice MR crowd coming up for the CLE show.

Dude, you're kidding. Those guys are fucking great!!

Every time a new one of those commericals comes on, I immediately stop what I'm doing and listen. Catchy tunes, funny acting....seriously. It's good stuff.

You can do FAR worse out there in the music world....

If only they recorded an album, like Rock Sugar has, I'd be all over it!

Sources close to the incident say once he jumped they found him dangling by a single guitar string tied around the neck.  (I hope it was a bass string) lol

"They say a man should for the job he wants,
So Why am I dressed up like a pirate in some restaurant,
It's all 'cuz some hacker stole my identity,
Now I'm here every evening chowder and Ice tea,
Should of gone to FreEEee Credit Report Dot com,
I could have seen this comin at me like and atom bomb
they monitor your credit and send you email alerts,
So you don't end up sellin fish to tourist in t-shirts"

"Free Credit-Report dot com
Tell your friends, tell your dad, tell you mom!
Never mind, they've been singing our songs
Since we first showed up with our pirate hats on!
So if you're not into fake sword fights,
Pointy slippers or green wool tights
Take a tip from a knight who knows
Free Credit Report dot com, let's go! "

"Well, I married my dream girl
I married my dream girl
But she didn't tell me her credit was bad
So now instead of living in a pleasant suburb
We're living in the basement at her mom and dad's
No we can't get a loan
For a respectable home
Just because my girl defaulted on some old credit card
If we'd gone to free credit report dot com
I'd be a happy bachelor with a dog and a yard."

A little bump, these obnoxious fuckers are scam artists too.. I'm glad to see this coming out. My buddy got ripped off while he was in college a few years back...

http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2010/02/09/cat ... ice-bogus/

According to the complaint, Possin wanted to check her credit before buying a new car, and wen to FreeCreditReport.com. But she got her “free” credit report only after inadvertently signing up for a $14.95 monthly credit monitoring service.

In Possin’s mind, this was bogus. Her putative class action lawsuit seeks to “stop the fraud and seek compensation for the tens of thousands of consumers deceived by Experian’s FreeCreditReport.com to the tune of millions of fraudulently obtained profits.”

Worst commercials ever. They actually incite rage. I want to inflict serious physical harm on that raccoon-faced lemur.
