I can't believe I'm even posting this. Please don't attack me ladies. It's been MY experience that if you ask, yes, you'll get turned down b/c the lady doesn't want to be thought of as dirty or as anything other than a lady. If you just "go for it" she can pretend she had no part in it, but her purrrring will tell you otherwise. If you're gentle .... she's gonna like it. If you're a clumsy cad it's gonna hurt & you ain't getting anywhere near her J-LO after that.

I think that's certainly a big part of why most don't want to do it, but I can't imagine it's that great for an average girl either, gentle or not. Most chicks don't have gaping assholes the size of porn stars.

Do you understand the concept of dilation? Its something that must be handled delicately and slowly at first. Too much too soon will guaranteed that it won't happen again.

That's what KY Jelly was invented for. Plus..... some soft kisses on her back along with a "reach around" for the little man in the boat goes along way in helping her to relax.

I would rather be single than married to the wrong person!

DING DING DING DING DING!!! Thank you for summing up my life! Thought I'd found the right man, but after living with him for 5 years, came to realise that loving someone isn't enough, you have to be able to live with them, respect them, and make compromises for them, and just as importantly they have to be prepared to make compromises in return. I still adore him, and I still think of his parents as mine, but we're happier as friends than we ever were as a couple. And I'm so thankful that we made the decision to break up before we actually went through with the ceremony and before I got pregnant, because both of those things are 'forever after, like it or not' for me . As far as I am concerned, you better make sure you are damn ready to dance before you ask the devil to start the music.

Exactly - someone can be an amazing individual and great friend, but not be compatible as a partner or husband.

Actually, this is one of the reasons I'm moving out of my hometown - I never planned on being here anyway, but very few men in my age range move to town who are not already married or living with someone who followed them here. It makes for slim pickens! Getting out in the world should give me a much better chance of meeting someone who is compatible. It isn't my goal, but it would be a nice bonus. Since I never dated much to begin with and I'm well out of practice after living here so long, I may have some dating horror stories in the coming year. If they aren't too bad, I'll be sure to share them!

You will find someone just wait and see hon.I am so out of pratice it has been so long since i have dated myself. But i am willing to try it again. But where do you meet the men???I don't go to bars anymore not my cup of tea.

I don't go to bars either and that's all there is in this town! My best friends met their husbands while they were in the same programs at university. I'm finishing a degree through the distance ed program, but I almost wonder if I shouldn't go back to campus. At my age though, I would either have to meet guys in graduate programs or find single professors!

Edit: When I lived in a bigger city, I followed my interests and joined a couple of clubs (one was a Jiu-Jitsu dojo) for no other reason than I wanted to be there - the bonus was that I did meet some great guys who shared the same interests, so joining a club is a good place to start!

LOL - you and I can start a dating horror stories thread and trade tales.    My housemate is tentatively giving an on-line dating service a go; she's made some new friends, still hasn't met 'Mr Right' or 'Mr Right Now' though. One chap she got chatting with on-line totally freaked her out. She joked with him that her mother was convinced she'd meet an axe-wielding maniac, and he responded that axes are old fashioned and he collected chain saws. She thought it was just a witty retort - until he sent her a photo of his collection!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( That would have scared the crap ot of me too.I am not into the on line dateing .But i guess it works for some.

That would have freaked me out a bit too! Then I would have pictured being married to someone who likes to collect chain saws - and having to listen to hours of discussion about the history of chain saws, going on vacations and visiting tool museums, etc. and wonder if I could learn to be interested or if it would bore me senseless! If you cannot share someone's passion, it probably won't work out.

My dad loves old cars, owns a classic (and would collect like Jay Leno if he had the money!), and my parents travel to car shows together - my mom was the one who convinced my dad to buy the car! If you can share an interest like that, it certainly goes a long way. I think a chain saw collection would have been a pretty big redflag for me!

Has anyone tried eHarmony?

 Even Sue from the 'Sunday Night Sex Show' didn't recommend this from the standpoint of associated health risks. As for 'going for it', I'm sure you mean slowly enough that the lady has time to understand what the guy is "going for" and can stop it before it goes too far - if someone pulled that stunt on me, I would break his neck! No means no and it isn't up to someone else to interpret what that means - something like that should be discussed first!

I knew I shouldn’t have logged on this morning b/c I’m already running late & I don’t have time to talk, but I cannot let this comment go unnoticed. If there’s a backlash to what I’m about to write, then I will rebuttal when I get home. That said,.....

Having twice been raped myself I cannot believe what you’re implying!!! I feel as if you’re calling me a rapist with your “no means no” retort. I guess you didn’t read the parts where I wrote, “If you’re gentle....” & “.... but if you’re a clumsy cad.....” & “..... some soft kisses on her back .... “ & “.... help her to relax.” Of course couples should discuss their wants, needs, turn-ons, turn-offs, likes & dislikes with one another. No one is advocating pinning someone down against their will. That’s not what was meant by adding, “go for it.” If you know your partner well, you can pick up on their cues & subtle nuances without always verbally having to spell things out. I have never in my life forced anybody to do anything against their will & I’m highly offended that it would be implied otherwise.

I never implied you would do such a thing, which is why I wrote "I'm sure you mean..." and I read your entire statement. You did advise others that if you ask first, you will get turned down, so you should just 'go for it' and let the lady pretend she had no part in it - some guys might interpret that to mean surprising their partner with an unexpected manoeuver.

So what I am saying is that it is always better to ask first and discuss it and if a lady says 'No', not to presume that she really wants to, but is concerned of what someone may think of her - this isn't the 1950s. It is just as likely that 'No' means she simply is not comfortable or interested. I certainly did not accuse you of being a rapist! Before you get offended, consider what you wrote - it was not good advice.

My...er, that is to say, my friend's ;) attitude is, if you want to go there, that's fine - after you've had my vibrator up your arse first. Funnily enough, not too many takers... (I suspect going any further about what happened with those who did is TMI.)
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

lol, seriously. Most women just genuinely aren't interested in it, for whatever reason(s). Can't say I blame them.

My...er, that is to say, my friend's ;) attitude is, if you want to go there, that's fine - after you've had my vibrator up your arse first. Funnily enough, not too many takers... (I suspect going any further about what happened with those who did is TMI.)

lol, that's great

Well, I've been celebrating since 7.30 this morning when we started the day with a chicken and champagne breakfast; the heartbreak thread used up all my remaining sober so I figured it was time to pull out the naughty side! ;)
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Think Fourth of July and Thanksgiving rolled into one, with the added advantage that it is socially acceptable (in fact almost mandatory) to completely avoid your family and spend the day with your friends instead. Then add Australian beer. And rum. And brandy, vodka, tequila, gin, and more beer. Lastly, add that satisfying feeling of having a really good ice-cream in the late afternoon of a perfect summer day - knowing that you are also about to have another beer.

(I'm so glad my mom doesn't read here.)

I think that's certainly a big part of why most don't want to do it, but I can't imagine it's that great for an average girl either, gentle or not. Most chicks don't have gaping assholes the size of porn stars.

Ladies?

That's what KY Jelly was invented for. Plus..... some soft kisses on her back along with a "reach around" for the little man in the boat goes along way in helping her to relax.

(God, my mom would be so ashamed of me right now. I used to be a choir boy.)
you know all about the reach around, but it aint the little man in the boat for you, its another 9 inch cock
