It's just so nice to see Neal relaxed and happy. The whole London thing certainly has my speculation feelers waving. OK. seeing Jeff Beck and Clapton, maybe an appearance? but Brian May? Tour plans? Guitar record? who knows?

YEA!!! A Journey/Queen double bill!

But wait, Queen needs a singer....
Hmmmm....

I bet it could work; I know Jeff would be polite backstage

Forgot one more speculation. X-Factor

JSS and Ross have probably buried the hatchet and it appears even Augeri is now fine with the band. Who knows?? It's a kinder, gentler world.

Jeff for Queen? I don't see it. The Lambert kid, if he could reign his over singing in, would be great. So would George Michael, as we saw at the Freddie Tribute Show.
I don't think I ever read that Augeri was not cool with the band.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

no record company just straight cash. Again, they would have to foot the bill for any promo, but yeah, Record companies appear to be in the toilet so why not?

Has any artist ever looked into a deal with Starbucks??? They are EVERYWHERE and sell some cd's and digital download versions...
Why not look into getting an album out to both iTunes AND Starbucks :)

Done right, you could promote an album TO DEATH thru Starbucks alone :)

just thinking out loud...

I thought the record selling thing was a big contributor to Starbucks almost folding (along with over expansion and other things)?

Not sure about the record selling thing, but I believe it. They also got killed by good old-fashioned competition when McDonald's and other places found a way to compete at much lower prices and for a pretty solid taste equivalent (or so I'm told, not a coffee fan in the least).

WHAT!!! You've never seen JSS doing Queen? The JSS @ the Queen convention DVD is fantastic. Jeff would be outstanding.

In this environment, it's all about what will sell. I'd bet on the Lambert kid.

Yeah, I knew I was going to take heat for that. It's also about vocal range. Lambert... I cannot believe that guy's range. His problem is, he needs to reign himself in. His tv performance that got him banned was way oversung and just screechy. BUT- the guy could do it if he used restraint on his delivery.

McCartney did that. Not sure how profitable it was for him though. I think Journey's music would work... simply because everyone is addicted to that stuff (not me, I'm a Dew freak).

Starbucks was doing that, exclusive deals with some artists to release and promote new albums, but found it wasn't working for the company and pulled out just after releasing a Carly Simon album. She's suing them, but I don't know if they've reached a resolution.

If it makes him more creative, I'm all for him tipping again. Now that Lori is nomore, time to party. This cleaned up image Journey has been pushing the last two years is for the dogs. This is a rock band which entails the procurement of booze and bitches.Time to pull the plug on this god fearing, good people bullshit and get dirty again.

Was it Cyndy who brought up that she recognized some HSAS riffs in the extended versions of Journey songs? Spot on, whoever it was.

Did someone just give him an Ipod? He seems really jazzed about digital. Get rid of the middle man and just go straight through Itunes and Amazon music. No digipaks or discs sucking up money for production, just straight to the fan and the majority of the sales price right back to the artist.

What I want to know, is what the hell was he doing at the PRS booth?

He's been playing Gibson for about 8-9 years. He's going back to PRS's?
