Why mortgage the future, and future generations because You and Company ABC want to make some duckets? Most of the people making legislature, and wanting to benefit from the things that cause GW will be long dead and buried when the real fruits of their labor come to bear....Kids? fuck 'em. Go back to driving your $80, 000 Mercedes SUV, and spend $100 filling the fucker up....pollute the air some more. Maybe some seals will die in Iceland. Keep your oil heaters, screw the wind farms and solar panels....perhaps Kanga, Roo, and Eeyore will die as well. Heck, let the polar ice caps melt....animals are migratory - they'll adapt.

As I said, we can all do our part. Part of it would help if we would not go buy the latest gadgets and try and make what we own last a little longer. The more junk we obtain, the more the mountain of garbage grows. I am all for making a more cost effective, less harmful fuels. We as humans are stewards of this earth, are we sure to pick up after ourselves as much as possible? Think about that when you see the next bozo flicking a cigarette butt out a window, or trash blowing out of a pickup.

We could probably come close to exterminating ourselves over and over again in a vicious cycle for millions of year and the earth will still be spinning right along. One thing we will not do is destroy the earth. We can fuck it aplenty and I can think of global warming being a small part of that but not an end all. The earth is too durable for us to really do too much irreversible damage on our own and she has a remarkable ability of healing herself. The problem is if you happen to be living during the time when we have a great possibility of doing terrific damage to ourselves as a species. I don't think it hurts to take measures to cut back on the things that make our air quality less than what it should be and what not. Regardless of what science is being used here, it's obvious that pollution is not healthy. Something has to be done along those lines.

Good! That is what I am saying. The poison leaks out of the other kind and seeps into the ground. But Cigarette butts are the least of our worries.

SM I think both sides of the arguement are agreeing here we need to care for the planet. On this I think we can all come to terms with. But some use those concerns to make a great profit. one more thing before I go home... GW and how it will work... Al gore and his buddies... FLY ALL OVER WORLD in JETS private and otherwise... we cant travel or will be restricted... They will drive SUV and hummers... we will drive smart cars and battery operated cheap ones... we will live in cabins while they live in mansions... all paid for by us and our 70% tax bracket that we will be in to pay for all their policy... Dont care what country you live in this will be the norm... it wont happen over night but it will happen... IF THEY GET THEIR way and we dont stop the policy they want in place... and it wont be an overnight tax policy... but overtime you will see your hard earned money going to these RIP OFF ARTIST and CON ARTIST... just my opinion...

How many here know, or care to know that Obama has put in Expected Revenues to the Fed Gov of some $650 Billion from Cap n Trade in the Budgt released yesterday? Does anyone care or know what Cap n Trade is or does? Its another fucking way to part us from our dollars, to redistribute American wealth to 3rd World Countries because of some pre-conceived guilt the libs have about big bad America. If enacted expect your average Utility bill to go up by $1,600 to $2,400 or so a year.

I know Beck and others keep repeating this, but from what I understand, that is not in the FY 2011 budget.
