I need Carla to remind me of the name, because for the life of me I can't remember it; a Chilean friend makes the most awesome dessert; layers of sweet shortcrust pastry and caramel, stacked to about 7" tall. My request for a birthday cake every year - takes her ages to make it, but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!

As for straight comfort food, cheese toasties and tomato soup goes a long way.

So, vegans use no milk? no cheese? Does that go for eggs as well? Reason why I ask, is I know a girl who is vegan and if I fix her something I don't wish to offend her. I on the otherhand have no vegan or veggie restrictions. But I can respect those who do.

But as I said to each it's own. If it bothers your beleifs to eat it, then I say refrain. I can respect ones decision to do so.

It's partly about animal rights and partly about thinking it's unnecessary and even unhealthy for humans to eat animal products. (see the "humans are the only animals to drink milk after infancy so it's unnatural" argument)

Well, thanks for solving the whole curiosity thing. As I said if it bugs you, by all means follow your concious. As for me, I have no fear of what it will do to me. I am after all a carnivour and a herbivour. So I have no qualms about it. Common sense, too much of anything is not good for you, and all foods need to be in moderation. Less of the red meat, more fish and chicken. All veggies and no meat leads to health issues too. That is why a vegan or a veggitarian have to take supliments. So do as you see best. Thanks for answering my question in such a nice way!

my fam/friends think i'm weird because most of the time i'll eat my veggie burgers plain. freaks them out. i just don't like veggies on my burger... they get soggy. ick.

I just thought you should know something. Based upon the argument of your website, being vegan is cruel to vegetables and eating meat is more kind to vegetables. You are wrong.

The animals that you are consuming eat more calories of vegetables (grains, grasses, and other plants) than any vegan would ever consume directly.

omg... that tofurky roast is the bombdigity! my mother-in-law makes that for us whenever we visit! i try to make it at home but it never comes out as good as she makes it. i'm just not a good cook... even when the stuff is basically already pre-made. }:C\

I love weird combos like that, sounds good to me! Also, peanut butter on waffles, then add the syrup is yummy too! Just can't be eaten like a sandwich though, like the pb&j waffle sandwich, lol.
