I want to get a Photoshop program mainly to make labels for our wine bottles. (We make our own wine at home) Can anyone recommend a decent but not costly program? Thanks

I have a version of Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo... take a look at whatever the latest version is (mine's about 3 years old). It was pretty inexpensive - only about $90-100 (which is nothing compared to photoshop of corse).

What kinda wine you making? That's pretty cool. I've heard of home beer brewing, haven't ever met someone making their own wine.

there are quite a few free, online photo editing programs available. i've never used any of these, as i have photoshop for work, but the free ones look like they can do a lot. cnet's got a comparison chart here http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10170333-2.html

Free?! Neat. I need to check those out. I need one for work.
Cheapos won't purchase one, (or a desktop publisher, which I need even more) yet expect me to work miracles with marketing.

Right now we have a white zinfindel and a raspberry merlot going. These two are our first but so far so good. I had no idea that you had to do so much to it. I thought mix it up, let it age but you have to mix, wait, add, stir, transfer, mix other things in, wait. We started with kits (because we were new to it) but would like to try it from "scratch". It's a nice little hobby though.

HEY! I didn't know we worked for the same company! I have to go to Walmart to buy even the barest of necessities here. I can't even get a good quality pen (read: not a cheap generic brand) unless I buy it myself. Worked to our advantage though because going to Walmart, I can buy some decent toilet paper now.
