Not a big seafood eater.

I like nice restaurants here and there, but a lotta times I just want a simpler place. Denny's and iHop are gross though.

Not sure what the definition of a nice restaurant is but I do like to go to Ruth's Chris on occasion.

Marrie Callenders, Olive Garden, these are nice restaraunts. I am sure there are higher priced ones, but those are common ones that are a bit more exensive, but good.

As for "fast" food.......I love McAllisters Deli sandwiches. The best Southern Sweet Tea on the planet!

We could list a million restaurants that are better than these 2. I think the point of the thread, at least in my head, was to compare 2 of the few 24 hour restaurants. The only ones who will serve you in the middle of the night when you need something greasy  ... or breakfast places maybe? Those other restaurants don't fit that category.

Yeah that's what I thought too, lol. I mean, we're talking pancakes here... flour and eggs  not gourmet food, plus IHOP and the like are the only ones open at 2 a.m. for us concert goers 8)

Annnnnd... IHOP has "harvest grain n' nut" pancakes. Nom.

Pretty much anywhere that serves breakfast all day and is open late/all night is fine by me.
And usually you can find at least one of these two places. They aren't always 24 hours though.
Denny's are more likely to be than IHOP, so that's a point in their column.

Either restaurant is fine if I'm going with a group of friends after the clubs closed & we just need an available place to hang out & talk, maybe have cup of coffee. But to actually EAT something. I'll pass. Neither one has very good food.

I know I'm probably gonna get killed for saying this, but I don't understand the whole sugar - on top of -sugar thing they have going on at IHOP. I mean, you're already getting syrupy sweet pancakes so, hey, why not let's pile a bunch of caramel, ice cream & Reddi Whip on top of that. Image Makes me wanna vomit every time I see those commercials.

Here's something else I'll probably get killed for, but my ex says "You wouldn't understand b/c you're a man." She says it has to do with some monthly hormonal thing you ladies go through which makes you crave a lot of sugar. If my memory serves me well --- & I know it does --- my ex gets VERY moody during certain times of the month & may God have mercy on my soul if I stand between her & a jelly donut.

YIKES!!!

You're ex is a drama queen. I never crave sugar and I don't try to kill anyone preventing me from getting a donut.

Now, this is not to say this doesn't happen, (the moody thing) and people crave different things, but screw her speaking for all women. *I* don't understand the sugar on sugar thing either - gross - and those commercials make me sick just looking at them too. I never order stuff like that. I did ONCE and it was a mistake.

And screw her for saying men don't understand - they do. They have no idea, maybe, how awful we feel sometimes, but I think eventually they get it enough to shut up for an hour and let it pass. (and if they don't they're on their own...lol). Women who act all dramatic about it piss me off. Don't use it to get away with being a bitch. It's not funny and it's a bitch to deal with, yes, but I find the women who blather on about it all the time are doing it for attention and as an excuse. Me... I have a few real bad hours (and I feel terrible for the people that I interact with in thouse hours because they usually have no idea why I'm slamming shit and crying... and I usually don't know either...) and I'm done. I used to know this girl who I wanted to slap over this... she had no idea what it even is and would say she was just a nightmare to be around for a whole week at a time.... (that's not how it works) and it took all my will not to say "You're one serious bitch and a nightmare to be around ANYWAY, what's your point?"

And p.s. - I know way more women who gravitate toward salt, not sugar (trust me, we've discussed this). So tell your ex to cut the act, eat a donut, and STFU.

I crave sugar, but ONLY in the form of chocolate! Any chocolate, and if I'm desperate enough, I plunge into the chocolate chip bag   But you ARE right, that after I have my chocolate THEN I crave the salt. And I try to fight that urge because it's usually potato chips or fries and there's no way I can eat all that junk at once! Well I could, but I fight it!!
