Interesting study...

Researchers now believe that being aggressive, intolerant and short-tempered could be a sign of a more advanced nature.

A more childlike attitude to behaviour such as tolerance and sharing, could, in contrast, be an indication of not being as developed, the new study suggests.

It could also provide scientific weight to the writer George Bernhard Shaw's famous saying that "all progress depends on the unreasonable man".

With you on this one, Nat ...

The researchers believe the "intelligence" and the behavior patterns are linked because they coincide in the same creatures? Good grief.

Rule #1 in basic statistics: correlation does NOT equal causality.

That's like saying one type of monkey has red fur and is smart; therefore, red fur causes greater intelligence.

I enjoy too much of life, and I don't worry about being "brainy" here. I come here to relax and have fun, not get into great philosophical debates. Though it is fun watching some get irritated by my simplistic approach. KISS.......Keep it simple stupid. LOL!

I have a big heart, and I cry at touching things. I love most everyone I meet, though I don't always love everything they do. I guess you would never consider me a geinius. But I am quite creative, and inventive. I have 6 years of college under my belt, and I was on the Chancellor's list. Not too shabby for an old lady, who loves art. :D

I love being so nonsensical that I leave people going ..........Whut? :?

Did I detect a bit of bragging in there? You certainly have credentials worth bragging about, but do you have 6 years of college or 1 year of college 6 times? :D

Sorry, did not mean to come across as bragging........  I was just saying I have had an education. I have had 3 years of college in one field............came back as an adult and changed career choices and went 3 1/2 more, actually I went 6 and 1/2 years. No, I am not trying to toot my own horn. Just trying to say that because I don't go on and act like a superior brain, does not mean I am without knowledge. Does that make sense? I laugh at folks who talk over peoples heads and pretend they are superior. I find a great deal of sense in a farmer with a sixth grade education, beats a pompous wordy professor many times over if the farmer has good common sense.

Ok, glad to see you've got a healthy grip on that. Some people are really assholes and want to rub their fucking degree in people's faces. An education for most people is a practical means to an end, eg., a career, etc. I know you weren't bragging and I did not really take it that way. I was so totally giving you shit. ;) That's all. I went back to school after I joined the Marines and graduated from HS after taking night classes. I've held executive positions most of my adult life without a college degree.

You are correct, some people are assholes and have a "holier than thou" attitude about their degrees. On the other hand, just as you are proud of what you have done with your life (and you should be!) I worked very hard for my degree and I'm proud of it and I don't apologize for it.

I guess my point was, I come here to relax, and I don't worry about my grammar, spelling, or try to impress with big words and witty responses. I can give the impression of being dumb I am sure! LOL! I was just saying I have had an education though I am sure I don't come across as smart..........does that make sense?

You sound like a self made man........no problem with that. :D
