It says 4, though I wonder if maybe they charge more for the other 2 adults. But I think the queen rooms are gone already  And you can always get more in a room. You just don't tell them

The room rate goes up if you have 4 in a double, yes. You're right, most people don't tell them in order to keep the rate down, but be careful of that - if they see you reserved for 1, and they need the double rooms , they will move you to a single and you don't get to complain... they'll tell you "You reserved it for one person, you didn't tell us 3, so sorry..."

Yeah, I always figure they might do that, or they might take the queen room away and give me a king, so I always book 2 people no matter what. Since 2 is always the standard rate. Guess it's good I figured that!! I was never sure, but I just thought it could happen!

You're totally right. My front office manager will call me and tell me she's moving room types if it's in one of my groups... and the first thing I ask is "how many did they book" if it's a double. If the answer is "1", I tell her, "screw them then. Move it if you have to."

By the way guys, if you insist on being near someone specific, coordinate your efforts, have one person book two rooms and request connecting. They should have a number of connectors available. But booking within a "block" does not mean you'll be near all the MR people- keep that in mind. (I get yelled at about this, constantly, also  ).

I just booked by phone and got the last double queen non-smoking room for the MRF rate, but the *best available* rate still had a few double queen non-smoking rooms for $85.99. The just aren't in the same block as the MR rooms.

Of the venue, or of each other? They appear to be well within drunken staggering distance of each other. They are on the same road, and appear to be about in the same parking lot.

Alright, is anyone planning to room together, or should I just go ahead and book a single for myself? Not sure if anyone wants to bunk? I don't want to wait too long on a decision. :o

Got a room this morning. Glad I did. Looks like the MRF block is gone. Went to see what kind of rooms were still available & MRF came up w/ no availability. AAA & Entertainment card still had availability but no MRF.

Can't mean anything but good things for the show if rooms are going that fast. :) Good luck, Andrew. Can't wait!

you should just book a double and put in "2" people (so they don't switch it on you later). Same rate. then you'll have the extra bed if you do happen to find someone that wants to room together, and if not, no biggie, extra bed to throw your stuff on.

Call them. Don't trust the online info.
And if central reservations doesn't give you what you want, call the hotel direct and ask for the sales office. Tell them what block you're calling about and they'll get you to that particular salesperson. They can add more rooms to the block (they'll probably check with Drew first... but they can do it) and they can get also get reservations put in.

LOL! There WILL be issues. But not anyone's fault. The IGH online booking for group blocks is not a great system.

So you're saying rooms would appear to be a better snag to call via phone line VS online subscription?

Probably. And like I said, if there are still problems with central res, call the hotel direct and speak with sales. They can override whatever the issue is and have their front office put in the reservation as long as there is still availability.
