Yep, she's knocking this out of the park. I had no idea she could sing like that.

I'm not a big fan, and I really didn't need to hear her singing that song (cuz I love that song), but you know what - she can sing! That note at the end - holy hell!

Now we have an opera singer. If I live til I'm as old as Methuselah, I'll never understand what people enjoy about operatic singing.

I never listen to female opera singers, ughhh, but I do enjoy Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli. I have a CD with both of them and another tenor (can't remember his name), and it's excellent for the odd occasion.

The last fatal luge accident was eons ago, although there have been many serious ones over the years.

Very sad about the luge athlete...seriously, hope they fix this track as it is deemed unsafe by the athletes themselves! Loved the opening ceremony...especially the illusion of the whales.

You know what? Fuck NBC and the horse they rode in on for showing the footage of the luge athlete getting killed. What a bunch of sensationalistic assholes...AND to anyone who actally WANTS to watch something like? I don't have enough foul words to slings at you, but I hope there's a nice corner table waiting on you...in hell!
I'm boycotting NBC and the entire run of these games and I encourage everyone to do likewise.

Refuckinglax oh mighty one. It happened, it's life, shit happens. It was news and they warned you before showing it and one had ample time to turn away. Boycott the Games, I don't give a shit, I don't think Vancouver will give two shits if some Hillbilly Hampster from Kentucky is offended. Pack some Mayo, Skoal, butter and Jack and go out for a fuckin picnic. Fuckin inbredded southerners.

Agreed? Just last week you couldn't wait to see some "non USA athlete fly off the track at 100mph." That was a stupid assed thing to say.

It's a dangerous sport and the athlete knows that. Just like a NASCAR driver knows race day may be his last day on Earth. It's a chance you take. Yes the IOC carries blame here for not having a higher wall and/or padded posts, but to blame everything on the Vancouver Games is ridiculous. The track was approved by the IOC. I am all for safety, but one has to realize that it's still a dangerous sport despite all the safety measures one can put in place. It's a fast track, perhaps the fastest in the world. It doesn't mean it is a bad track.

I sort of agree with both of you. CTV got lots of criticism for showing the footage initially, I don't believe they've shown it since (I haven't seen anything and I've been watching pretty much non-stop). It's the idiots that grab that footage and post it all over YouTube and elsewhere on the net that piss me off - but hey, that's the world we live in now.

Tragic situation, dumb 'sport' - and I'm (sort of) watching it right now! They've made some changes, 'slowed' the track down, but they're still going about 140k/hr

Don't roll your eyes at me Beyotch! First off, I ain't a hillbilly and I ain't FROM KY. I just reside here. And quite frankly, if you know yer geography, KY is basically considered yankee-town by the folks in the "deep" south! But I digress...
I'm certainly cognizant of the fact that my boycotting the games isn't gonna mean a hill of beans to the suits at NBC, but I can damn sure raise my voice in distaste of showing a guy getting killed over and over. It's a sick fucking thing to do. I expect it from FOX or those TMZ fucktards, but I THOUGHT a reputable network like the National Broadcasting Company would be above such sensationalism. And they can take their "warnings" and shove it up their asses and set fire to 'em. Feeding societies base desires to see that kind of shit is unconscionable.
There- soapbox over and out. And yeah- chastise me all you want. I know I'm the ONLY one who ever gets on a soapbox up in this motherfucker!

Agreed, she definitely belted that one out, great job on it. We were at some friends' watching it and he kept calling her Chaz.

Liked that new song of Brian Adam's and Nelly Furtado's too........and what a gorgeous dress. I don't get the opera thing either, which is weird because I absolutely love rock vocals that have an operatic quality) but we actually had to mute that woman's singing, got annoying after about a minute. LOL it was also mentioned, that you'd never know by looking at them but Keifer and Donald Sutherland have the sexiest speaking voices on the planet.
