Yes great voices to be sure but it bugs me biggly how they are both
monopolizing the voice advertising market.
Honestly, how much mullah does one need?
Love em both but I would rather hear an unknown doing that kinda work.

Yep, she's knocking this out of the park. I had no idea she could sing like that.

Agreed, she definitely belted that one out, great job on it. We were at some friends' watching it and he kept calling her Chaz.

Liked that new song of Brian Adam's and Nelly Furtado's too........and what a gorgeous dress. LOL it was also mentioned, that you'd never know by looking at them but Keifer and Donald Sutherland have the sexiest speaking voices on the planet.

I love Nelly (but I have to admit I kept thinking how big her calves are - weird I know but I notice things like that LOL - maybe it was the shoes or something)

LOL, could only wish to be as deformed as her. Couldn't find any performance footage on youtube, but from this quick before and after footage....cute clip. I think it had more to do with where the hemline of her dress came to, probably should have been either above the knee or below the knee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN1pMz1jskc

I'm boycotting NBC and the entire run of these games and I encourage everyone to do likewise.

Refuckinglax oh mighty one. It happened, it's life, shit happens. It was news and they warned you before showing it and one had ample time to turn away. Boycott the Games, I don't give a shit, I don't think Vancouver will give two shits if some Hillbilly Hampster from Kentucky is offended. Pack some Mayo, Skoal, butter and Jack and go out for a fuckin picnic. Fuckin inbredded southerners.

Don't roll your eyes at me Beyotch! First off, I ain't a hillbilly and I ain't FROM KY. I just reside here. And quite frankly, if you know yer geography, KY is basically considered yankee-town by the folks in the "deep" south! But I digress...
I'm certainly cognizant of the fact that my boycotting the games isn't gonna mean a hill of beans to the suits at NBC, but I can damn sure raise my voice in distaste of showing a guy getting killed over and over. It's a sick fucking thing to do. I expect it from FOX or those TMZ fucktards, but I THOUGHT a reputable network like the National Broadcasting Company would be above such sensationalism. And they can take their "warnings" and shove it up their asses and set fire to 'em. Feeding societies base desires to see that kind of shit is unconscionable.
There- soapbox over and out. And yeah- chastise me all you want. I know I'm the ONLY one who ever gets on a soapbox up in this motherfucker!

Boy, can Bryan Adams not lip sync very good. He messed that up big time. At least we know inhis own live shows, he is 100% live.

. . . And for this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBP2gOKPP8I

Classic mix-up: NBC confuses Terry Fox and Michael J. Fox.

Terry Fox is a Canadian legend whose cross-Canada run, the Marathon of Hope, inspired Canadians while raising money for cancer research. Michael J. Fox is a Canadian actor who starred in the legendary "Back to the Future" trilogy and has become an advocate for Parkinson's disease research. They're pretty easy to confuse for each other. Right, NBC?

It's understandable to misspeak the name during a live setting, so we can give Meredith Vieira a pass. But the graphics are a little harder to explain, especially considering the broadcast actually showed Terry Fox before switching to the "Family Ties" star.

I'm guessing NBC would love to take a DeLorean back to last night to get this right.

Alex winning Canada's gold on home soil was great and even better was the personal story of his brother with cerebral palsy. Good for him!
China won gold for the first time in pairs skating, which was cool...the pair are kinda oldsters at 31 and 36 yrs of age, too! Also, China took silver...I think they had the most exciting program, 'tho. All the other teams were just so stale using old 70s love songs...blah, no wonder I stopped watching figure skating. The Russians always had the best skaters and most passion and now they aren't.
Snowboarding race was neat & exciting...and also Apollo Ono getting his 6th Olympic medal...that was close with the Koreans wiping out at the last second.
Love these games!

Apolo needs one more medal to hold the record and he still has 3 more events. There's no way he won't do this! :D

How about the olympics just eliminate luge altogether?

http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/vancou ... oly,219966

This is a touchy subject. Japan's Aya Yasuda has been disqualified from the women's luge event Tuesday for being over weight.

Not "overweight." At 132 pounds, Yasuda is the ideal size for luging. It's her equipment that weighs too much.

Because of a miscalculation, Yasuda brought too much ballast with her to weigh-ins for Tuesday's competition. Lugers are allowed 13.1 kg of "additional weight." Yasuda brought 13.3.

Though there is no weight requirement for luge, women who weigh less than 75 kg (Yasuda weighs roughly 60 kg) may make up 75 percent of that difference without going over the limit. Yasuda exceeded that limit by less than half a pound.

Though Yasuda was not expected to be a medal contender, this would have been her first Olympics. It's unfortunate that the equivalent of the weight of a cheeseburger would keep her from competing, especially when it's the result of accidentally miscalculating a somewhat complex formula. But so are the rules..the IOC has to draw the line somwhere, and a small technicality can mean an athlete can't compete.
