Thanks to a real good buddy I just got the WET CD.....folks this one is good!!!!!! JSS is an icon, thats the only way I can put it. I love this cd. JSS truly is a star.

I can pretty much agree here. But I think history, and the fact that there's really no one out there that can sing like Perry and Gramm did, will ultimately grant them "icon" status.

I have to agree with you. Perry went off the scene too long ago and never stayed in it. He is not on the tip of people's tongue like Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Mick Jagger, McCartney. These guys have kept going strong and are household names. Elvis definitely iconic.

Yet you were trying to tell me the other day a new Perry solo album would sell all kinds of albums just because of who he is? I understand there's a gap between icon and household name, to be sure, but I don't think you're being 100% accurate.

I don't think Perry's anything close to an icon or even a household name.

You would be correct on that last line. I was saying Perry can outsell Journey. Let's face it, they aren't icon status either. People know that "the original singer guy with the killer voice" is no longer with them, and you have to admit that kills them in sales and recognition. So my point the other day was Perry v Journey(now there's a fresh new argument :roll: :wink: ) and today I am arguing against Dan that Perry is nowhere close to icon status.
