OT: Hutch, were you happy with the outcome of SYTYCD? Russell is a good dancer, but I was really pulling for Jakob. He was fantastic IMO. I was torn between him & Legacy but once Legacy got eliminated it was no contest for me. As for Russell winning, it was good to see in the sense that he was the underdog for SO long & you could tell he really wanted it.

To be honest, I didn't watch it this season, other than the finale - there always seemed to be something else on or something else going on for me. Plus the Canadian version (which I do watch faithfully) just finished prior to the US season starting, so I was kinda 'danced out' :) .
I think ALL the dancers on those shows are fantasticly talented, I don't know how they can pick a winner - I guess it comes down to fan favorites. I would imagine (hope) all of the finalists end up with pretty good career ops when it's done.

Thank you Jason for Pick you Up and Broken Open ! What I meant by touring with Queen was not to join Queen but to tour in the summer in Europe with Queen . Those HUGE venues buy CD's. To me ,it is about making huge $$$ while your hot, and not how you accomplish it.

I know whatcha mean. If it wasn't for the invention of DVR I'd be screwed. I always forget my shows are on until they're half over or else there's multiple things I want to watch. Idol starts again next month so I'll be DVR-ing it as well. I didn't watch one single episode last season until the finale night so, yep, I missed everything Lambert.

You're welcome, but I thought you wanted to stay anonymous. Anyway, yes I think he should tour with Queen, but not join. Not yet anyway.

Adam said he WILL be on Oprah a few days back. He does not have the date. I think, guests go in for interviews and performances 1st. It will be announced @ Adam official.com Oprah does not tell when her guests will appear. I would guess that that is to get viewers tuning everyday for ratings.

Adam will be on Oprah Tuesday 1-19-10. It seems it MAY be with Lady GaGa and Susan Boyle.

If he'd just kept making music of this caliber, instead of kissing some dudes on an awards show - having 'Madonna-like' behavior out the gate - and focusing entirely too much on the 'glam' - he probably would be a lot further along in his career - not sure if he can recover from what appears to be really bad management - we'll see

So in other words you’re saying that if he’d just stop being himself & turn into fake hetero guy...... yadda, yadda, yadda.....

With all due respect, Brandon, ...... (nice name, btw) ........ Adam’s career is only seven months old & so how much “further along” do you expect him to be? I admit, the keyboard player kissing, crotch-face maneuver wasn’t one of Adam’s best decisions given the format in which he chose to display that; however, fame is all brand new to him. You gotta give the guy a break. He’s going to make some mistakes along the way. Since that much publicized AMA faux pas Adam’s been on Leno, Letterman, Ellen, Chelsey, So You Think You Can Dance, The View, The CBS Early Show & The VH1’s Critics Choice Awards & it appears he’s learned from his mistake. Next Tuesday he’ll be on Oprah. Let’s pray he keeps himself PG. IMO, family oriented television shows where children may be watching is no place for tongue kissing or crotch grabbing ever ----- even if it’s hetero!

On the other hand, I can’t wait to see Adam LIVE in concert and there he can do anything he wants. If parents choose to let their children attend an Adam event & the kiddies come home saying, “Mommy, he kissed a boy on stage,” well, then, who’s fault is that? It isn’t Adam’s place to parent the children who attend his show. Mom & dad need to do some research before they drop the kiddies off in order to get them outta their hair. Between you & me (& anyone else who reads this) when I get to see this guy in concert I hope I’ll be truly entertained. Oh, & if I’m lucky, maybe I'll get “Courtney Cox'd” & he'll pull me up on stage. Hell, maybe he’ll even drag me around on his leash!!

  (*fingers crossed*)

Adam will not be doing anything like AMA. He taped Oprah last week. It would be edited but I think Adam is a quick study. Oprah is on ABC and so far that network has only allowed him taped. VERY few shows are live these days.

I posted this link in an SP thread b/c of a conversation we were having yesterday but since not all of you Adam fans visit below, I thought I'd better post it here as well. This is Adam Lambert in the musical The Ten Commandments. Once again, his voice is amazing---- especially when he hits that last note. Image

I hate to tell you detractors ,Adam will be around a looooong time. His CD hasn't even been released around the world, but it will be in the next few months . Read up on what people in other countries say. Look at the number of shows , mags he has been in and now the modeling and the grammy job. He's making the $$$$ and really can't be stopped. Kiss wanted him to tour and I think he will eventually take up Brian Mays and maybe do a one time tour. Now, Justin Timberlake wants to write him a song. Guess it can't hurt.

For those of you who asked me to keep you posted on any latest Adam sightings, :P here's his performances from last week's AOL Music Sessions.
This first one is my favorite b/c it has that whole sassy, theatrical Cabaret feel to it. I would love to see Adam take on the Joel Grey role in a remake of Cabaret, the musical.

BONUS Footage from another event. This next little snippet is Adam stopping in the middle of a song to tell an audience member to get off her cell phone. LOL!!! That is TOO funny.

Thanks, Hutch. Good video!!! The beginning is kind of the standard interviewer questions, but I love how he "gets real" in the middle.

By request, (& after searching a little to locate, squirt1 :P ) I'm posting this next video. It's a little rough to listen to, but endearing nevertheless. It's a video of Adam visiting a school where the children practiced playing "Whataya Want From Me" & they wanted to perform it for him. One of Adam's guitarist is present as well & so he helps the children out. Adam makes every attempt to sing along, but like I said, the playing is a little rough to listen to .... a lot of it is off key & broken up in parts. Still, I think it's nice that Adam would take time out of his schedule to visit these children. It probably made their day, I'm sure:
