Laisse tomber, il est trop nul.

Why is it that almost everytime I post, you're just seconds away from posting some stupid crap reply, man? So you're a stalker or in love with me, either way; I get it. I really do. You're not the first either. I'm charming, friendly and got boyish good looks. What's not to like?

You got to stop sending me those self portraits though. Please...

Thanks for that. Lula had Wyatt on a Thanksgiving train that was jam packed. Wy Man was just over 2 years old. She was traveling 3 hours by herself and him. Of course he acted up BUT she made a valiant effort to occupy his time, play wit him, etc, taking him downstairs and into the bathroom, etc. Nothing worked. Some people were so rude to her about Wyatt getting antsy and crying, and complained to the conductor. She was so hurt she herself broke down. It didn't help that we just drove 3 hours instead of the usual 1.5 hours to go from LA to Bakersfield and then she had to wait on board the train for 3 more hours for a feeder bus that got caught up in the traffic to connect and then, and then, they left for their 3 hour scheduled journey. So yeah Joepa, some parents actually try to control their kids. Thanks for recognizing this.

Meanwhile, I had an experience also on a train from Orlando to Charleston, SC., to see Granny (remember her everybody?) This fat black woman(who looked exactly like Aunt Jemima), had three kids and I swear to Christ they were wild, as in wild animals. I was looking for the mutual of Omaha's Wild kingdom cameras to pop up sometime soon. Anyway, this one little fucker had a shitload of Cheetos stuck in his little afro, and was jumping around the train like Michael Jordon on a pogo stick I thought, or better yet, hoped he would jump the fuck out of the window and off the train altogether. Mom didn't say a fuckin' word. I finally gave those sonsofbitches 5 bucks and told them to go buy some more Cheetos and stay the fuck down in the lounge car. Yeah, that worked real well  Those little bastards were back in 5 minutes enjoying a food fight- with the Cheetos I bought for them. There were yellow cheese crumbs everywhere. I swore I was on a Greyhound bus for a moment. The only thing missing was a passed out hippie in a filthy down jacket and headband, and a couple Coke cans rolling around on the floor. Other than that, it felt like a fuckin bus.

Reconsider, dude. Just don't drown yourself in it. Ladies love a good cologne & they don't wanna smell the deodorant on your pits. They want to get all up in your neck & chest area. They want to savor something manly. You need to reconsider your no-cologne policy. Damn, you have got to be the oldest young man I have ever almost known. You're like Benjamin Button or something. I never ever have a problem with unhappy kids if the parents are clearly trying to attend to it. It doesn't always work, unfortunately, and sometimes you have a sick kid, or a tired one...etc.

It's people like the lasdy at Sam's Club this one day, barely aware she HAD a child, who was on laying on his side, on the floor in the middle of the aisle spinning in circles and yelling while she browsed the electronics that piss me off. Clearly the iPod sale needed her full attention. I wanted to run the kid over just to teach HER a lesson.

lol, thanks Freud. I have bagged plenty of chicks without ever putting a drop on, so I think I'm ok there.

As for enjoying my youth, I did... it was called college.

Now I'm enjoying my post-college bachelor life 8) . I have a 50" TV, 6 guitars, a blu-ray player, an Xbox, a sound system and not a nagging woman within 100 miles to drag me down or stop me from enjoyin it. I get drunk once a week with my buds when and where I want and do what I want. Couldn't get much better

As for being Clint Eastwood... well, a man can only dream

I was always one of those "Man I hope I find a girl in college and settle down right afterwards" guys too. How fortunate I am to have not ended up that way... my buds that followed that path that are between 24 and 28 right now are miserable.

You should have smelled the people we flew with from New Orleans to Lubbock. After the hurricane, there were thousands staying at the airport, but there was no electric or running water for a week. So these people hadn't showered for that long. It was pretty brutal. I know they couldn't help it, and their graciousness made it bearable.

On some of the flights we get from Tulsa, there are sometimes 20 kennels of puppies on them from doggie factories up there. Those puppies will just roll in their own shit and stink to high heaven. I'm pretty sure that odor makes it's way upstairs, since that particular "cargo hold" as BJG says, is climate controlled.

You're exactly right Jason - there is nothing better than a guy wearing a nice (subtle) cologne! I remember years ago walking past a couple of guys I knew, and one smelled so good I actually stopped in my tracks and backed up just to get another whiff. Someone should have to get pretty close to smell the scent (it encourages nuzzling) and it should be a high quality spritz, like Chanel for Men, anything Calvin Klein, Armani is nice too and now I want to know what Aramis smells like. Guys, stay away from cheap, drugstore aftershave lotions or colognes - they are woman-repellents and Aqua Velva should be banned as an illegal substance!!

As for BO on airplanes, my parents once took a package trip to Vegas on a small plane (probably Jazz) and most of the people they flew there with were the same going home. In particular, there was one guy who (4 or 5 days later) was still wearing exactly the same clothes, was completely wasted, and smelled like he spent the week going in his pants instead of using a toilet. :? What got him arrested was that he was a loud, belligerent ass to the stewardesses who refused to serve him more alcohol and he cracked open a duty-free liquor bottle on the plane. Now post-9/11 he would be arrested just for his abusive behaviour. When the RCMP slapped the cuffs on him in Calgary, the passengers on the plane applauded. In the meantime, they had to put up with his stink in a confined space for hours.

Most of these problems are either preventable or can be dealt with enough to get someone through a flight - at worst, only the people next to someone with odour issues due to a medical condition should be a bit uncomfortable. If someone is bad enough that other passengers are complaining and calling it brutal, well, the good of the many outway the good of the one or the few. I have had so many jobs where I deal with the general public, and I cannot get over how many who have free access to running water refuse to practice basic hygiene. The worst are neo-radical environmentalists who don't want to waste water or energy by bathing and don't want to add to their carbon footprint by using deodorant  - well jump in the many creeks we have around here and roll in some baking soda already!

sorry Deano it's not a right. that is a private industry and the company has the right to do whatever to provide excellent customer service to paying customers. yes he is a paying customer but he needs to do his part to fit into the social grid. private industry is what makes this country run. not the responsibility of the companies to take care of people. just take a bath--it's not that hard.

but who knows--they should have perhaps found out if there was a reason for the "odor'. 1st thing that comes to mind is colostomy (sp?) bag. there r showers in the airports. new clothes etc. lots of solutions if he was indeed flying home to see dying mother.

The airlines are in the customer service industry and it's their job to make reasonable decisions that are in the best interest of their passengers. Their's a certain onus of personal responsibility when flying in a confined space and an obnoxiously smelly person, for whatever reason(s), should not be allowed to ruin the flight for so many others.

Even though some creepy ACLU-like lawyer is probably cracking his knuckles over this one, we have to give the airlines a certain amount of self-policing ability. And this one was a no-brainer.

No, I'm just moaning a lot. Gimme a couple more minutes.

Frig. I have been SO careful to use the word "attending" to avoid replies like that ^ because I know better.

I failed.

Can I kick people out of the grocery store for stinking up the aisles? Some people reek so bad I think I'm going to suffocate, and then when they leave, their stench stays behind and it looks like I stink - that's just wrong to a person who actually bathes  Then the other day I found a half-eaten package of raw salmon crammed behind the nutrition bar section which was smelling like something died back there for days - that means someone gnawed on the raw fish like a animal right in the store

I think people should be kicked off the bus too for offensive odor - speaking of the bus, to top it all off, I was riding on the bus last week and some Ukrainian-looking woman started brushing her teeth right there in the seat across from me. I mean full toothpaste mouth foaming brushing and then swallowed it all   - people are just GROSS!!!

Ewwwwwwww!!!!! ON the bus?!

Ok, I will admit to having applied mascara on a bus a time or two... but that's a new one.

Um... restaurants. A friend and I were waiting for a table at IHOP once... there was a woman waiting - she did not appear to be homeless, otherwise I might have understood this... she smelled like rotten milk and vomit x 10. It was STRONG, I tell you. Worst I've ever encountered on a person. And why they did not ask her to leave, I do not know. I mean people are tyring to EAT, ffs!
