Winger-KARMA

Postby LtVanish » Thu Feb 25, 2010 4:03 pm

Last week I finally picked up the new Winger album "Karma." I have no idea what took me so long, but this album totally kicks ass. I have all of the Winger albums and IMO this one is better than all of them including "Pull" which was my favorite. There is not one weak track on it, and only takes 2 listen throughs and you'll be addicted no question. Love the tracks "Stone Cold Killer" "Big World Away" and "Witness" It has been a while since a album jumps out like this to me, very excited to see Kip & Co. at MRF2 also.

Excellent album -- I think my favorite track is "Pull Me Under". Hope they play it at MRFest II!

I surprisingly haven't listened to it yet. I'm a big Winger fan and their last two albums are among my all-time favorites.

How's Blackwood Creek? Been curious about it too.

Kip Winger is a cool motherucker and has an incredible voice. I think a lot of what he did in the past was scripted label cookie cutter bullshit that didn't utilize his incredibly strong and resonant voice. The fucker sings through you at times. He has this impressive combination of power and resonance that just smacks you in the chest. 8)

Have given Karma a few spins now, and it's a good solid album. My fav is "Always Within Me", great song, love it. And the bonus at the end, "First Ending" was a neat surprise, I like it.

But like I've read here too, lol, Pull is still my favorite Winger album too. "Spell I'm Under" is the best, "Who's The One" is another big favorite on there, love the guitars all through it.

Will be awesome to finally see them live after all these years, lol. Hey one of you at MRF too drag me through the crowd with you so my 5'2" self can see too :( lol

Deb are you really not going to be there? :(
