I agree that he shouldn't have said that b/c it wasn't cool & it shows unsportsmanlike conduct; however, he still shouldn't have been disqualified. Were they judging him on his performance or his verbal skills? He clearly didn't push the other skater. There was no force, nor velocity behind his hand when he touched that skater. It looks as if Apolo saw the skater out of his peripheral vision, & he knew he was getting close, so he instinctively brought his hand up as if to brace himself for impact, much in the same way any one of us would instinctively blink if a fly or a fist was coming at our face. It looked to me, after seeing them replay it 100 times, that the guy was going down no matter what, he was down low and taking that curve too tight, and like you said, it was instinct... Apolo is not and has never been a skater to play dirty, I've watched him for a long time... like the shoving and other crap that goes on with a lot of these short trackers... they get vicious. This guys was pushing in close when Apolo was tying to pass trying and trying to edge him out. The more I saw that replay, the more I saw AAO doing what he always does, going for the inside pass, and the canadian guy trying to run him off the road... granted I didn't see any illegal moves from the canadian. Just saw that AAO went for a super tight pass and Tremblay wasn't having any of that shit... but I don't know, maybe I need to see it another 100 times.

In any case, judge rules and that's that. When are they gonna televise this stuff outside the Olympics! (when people start caring... I know... LOL) I love watching those short trackers. I never ever miss the ST races in the Olympics cuz that's the only time I get to see it.
