phoenix was very good, but a tad mellow, hope this one rocks a little harderterrible cover for phx nad this, no effort
seen them 3 times on the reunion tours, in chicago they all came out after the show and signed for everyone, told only 2 got 3, saw them again on phx tour , and palmer signed a few wetton seems friendly, but the other guys seem to have a air about them, could have just been tired after the show, great shows though, now if andrew can get , just vivian campbell, or nick brophy to join rob lamothe at the MRF2, i will have seen just about everybody ive wanted to
hey drew some sorta riverdogs reunion, i know you cant get all but nick brophy is in nashville, ill drive him up if he needs a ride

Finger on the Trigger was on the Icon II album, although the new Asia version sounds a lot better, really cool song.

Haven't played it since I reviewed it. Gave it a good score and I knew Asia fans would love it, but found it boring.

At least give us some first impressions of what you think of the album. April is still too far away.

Frontiers Records seems to be very excited about this album. They're already offering "Finger On the Trigger" (full version) as a free mp3 download.

you can find the link to Frontiers' promo page at retroblog

look for the link toward the bottom of the page.

Awesome, thanks for the tip! I got a taste of the samples the other day, sounds like Asia to me, a little grittier, but I like that.

I forgot I downloaded it, and just listened for the first time. Wetton actually sings "You had me by the balls!" Hahahaha!

Andrew wrote:Terrible cover..... And Phoenix was BORING! Still rated it ok as Asia fans would have been happy, but zzzzzz for me.

Should have this new album next week to check out.

I agree...There were a couple of tunes on "Phoenix" that I really liked and sounded like classic Asia but the rest was just filler, in my opinion.

You're right about the cover as well...It looks too computerized.
