I'm going to be doing a back to back on Jul 14 and 15 in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. SO excited. Does Maiden change their setlist up like DT does? Back to backs with DT are so worth it if possible.

The problem is with the way they do the stage show, it's almost like a concept album setup, so changing the setlist might not happen.

On a side note, when I saw them in 2008, the only song they did that was remotely new was Fear of the Dark. They are releasing a new album THE FINAL FRONTIER which is the name of the tour also, so hopefully there will be some new material in the set list.

Maiden rocks, but truthfully, I don't know too many of their songs... just like all the stuff I DO know. I would definitely dig them live though. DT has always been my co-favorite band along with Journey, though that has changed a bit with the last two albums, which had some great spots and some "meh" parts. But still, you just can't beat the live DT experience and I know Maiden ain't shabby either from watching their DVD.

I love Maiden and the fact that Dickinson flies Boeing 757s just makes them that much fucking cooler.

"After 25 years together, at this stage in our career, there's honestly only three bands Dream Theater would consider opening for and Maiden is one of them. It is an absolute honor. In 1983 I was interviewed (While with Intruder) and asked what my dream goal was. I responded 'To play Madison Square Garden.' It took almost 30 years, but it's surreal that I will now be able to check it off the list.Through the years, we've done many one-off shows with Maiden, and they've almost all been overseas."It is very exciting to finally be doing a full tour with them and on our side of the pond, no less. These are gonna be amazing shows that the fans won't want to miss. Up the fucking irons!"

Now THIS sounds like a really cool tour. I haven't been to a live show in a while now but I may need to break out of that for this one.

Maybe Andrew can get them both to stop by MR Fest and do a set or two?

VERY glad they're not skipping Pittsburgh for once... and I'm still in shock that Dream Theater is opening for them... SO PERFECT!!! MUCH better than Harris's daughter opening for them last time

Maiden and DT are definitely among my top bands to see live. Also, I really hope they ditch the "early days" approach they've been doing in the States the last few tours... I'm dying to hear Dance Of Death/A Matter Of Life And Death material live.... no pun intended, hell I might as well throw in No Prayer For The Dying to make it pun-intended.

I'd be ecstatic if they played these:

Paschendale
The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
Be Quick or be Dead
The Legacy
Rainmaker
Montségur
The Sign Of The Cross
Out Of The Silent Planet
Journeyman
When Two Worlds Collide
Lightning Strikes Twice
Dance of Death
Different World
Tailgunner

IRON FUCKING MAIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. YOU GOT THAT?

My fave album is Fear of the Dark followed by Brave New World...musically though, I'm partial to the Dianno album, Killers.

any Maiden set must include:

Reach Out - sung by Adrian Smith
Fear of the Dark
Powerslave
The Clairvoyant
Paschendale
Stranger in a Strange Land
Revelations
Flight of Icarus
Ghost of the Navigator
Wasting Love
Children of the Damned
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Genghis Khan
Remember Tomorrow (Di'Anno's version can't be beat, but put it in the set nonetheless)
Tom Brady IS the G.O.A.T.
