Asking people to pray or pointing out the role that faith in God played in the founding of our nation is hardly proselytizing. Proselytizing would be preaching to someone about becoming a member of their faith, whatever religion that may be. Well, I guess that's the point I'm prattling on about. Just because there isn't a consensus and an irrefutable hypothesis does not change the fact that there is a vast array of information and independently collected data that shows it's at least quite possible mankind has helped cause climate change. I think the right tends to sieze on the "science isn't settled" component and make that their battle cry, and the left tends to discount any possibility that other factors are likely contributive and probably dilute the "entirely" claim they make.

There was no way to 'prove' Einstein's theory of relativity either...until decades later. That did not make it any less believable to science or that it could not be used to explain the universe. What is 'fucking retarded' is people who have no clue how the scientific method works say that they don't need to prove it isn't true and then in the next breath not have ANY convincing explanation for the observations made round the world that show that the Earth is getting warmer. All that has been done is to say it's some kinda cycle. But, according to THAT theory, the Earth should be getting COOLER - and it's not.
