Bought a box of Dove Bars for the wife today while shopping. Looked at the box and said WTF? There are only 3 bars in the box for $4.39 when there were 4 just two weeks ago. Not only less bars but the bar size went down from 3 oz to 2.89 oz.
So, $4.39/12 oz = Old Price $0.365 per oz, $4.39/8.67 oz = New Price $0.506 per oz.
An increase of ------ 38.5 percent !!

Yes thats right, 38.5% all at once.
Now wages are falling in this economic mess, but food, one of the staples that we need (although we can live without Dove Bars) is increasing like this!
Yeah, I know, the price is the same so it really didn't cost more. Just another example of how hidden inflation works. Wife says screw em. No more Dove Bars for her.
Sorry, had to rant after shopping today
