You aren't too bright. You couldn't play the sport because you aren't talented enough, tough enough nor smart enough. Sorry stevew, I like you, but you crossed the line by smacking hockey. I can't forgive that. Did you not watch the Olympics? That was an epic game, an epic tournament and an epic time for all the fans who watched it.

Watch this stevew. The hair rises on the back of my neck. Deb and Triple S and also Sherri Berry will love this. 10,000 Canadians watching the game on an outside Jumbo screen in downtown Vancouver. Checkout the Indian cab drivers in the Maple Leaf turbans rocking out to hockey!

Love it! For this win, Sidney Crosby will probably be on our list of the Greatest Canadians of all time and even though I am going to be helping to pay for these Olympics through my provincial taxes until I retire or die, it was worth it to have Team Canada take the gold medal on Canadian soil - especially in B.C.!!

I guess Deano, but I find it as exciting as bowling. Not much of a spectators sport as far as I am concerned. But to each its own. It might be one of those sports you would have to experiance first hand to enjoy. :D

That is so true - I thought it was really dumb too until I met my husband. He comes from a family of avid curlers, and over the years I've come to appreciate the skill it requires. I suck at it, but I do like to watch it now!

During the Olympics, they aired a TV segment here where Cheryl Bernard and the rest of the Canadian team were 'teaching' some retired NHL players (Lanny McDonald, Jim Peplinski, can't remember who else) how to curl. It was hilarious but the hockey players admitted they had no idea how hard it was.

I hope someone on the Bruins absolutely levels Crosby tonight....Fuck Cooke, he sucks. Savard is out for season, Pitt's star should be fucking bitchslapped.

BTW, new hockey rule. [I understand Cooke's hit on Savard was a non-call, but.....] Anytime a player is injured on a called penalty, player causing the penalty/injury should be out (suspended) for as long as the injured player is out....And that means if the player is out for the year, so be it [fuck you Ovie].

After what happened to Brent Seabrook last night, I agree with this.
I can't believe Wisniewski got two lousy minutes for that.

Apparently further action is being considered now....?

Deano, I went to see the Canucks play the Blue Jackets a couple weeks back. My dude (who's from Kelowna and lives here now) and I were the only two in the whole damn place wearing Canucks jerseys. It was awkward as all hell but amazing when we were the only two cheering after that Ehrhoff goal. People stared at us, dude. It was awesome. We killed a couple sixers of Coors atop the parking garage next to the stadium while listening to Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young before the game. Great freakin' time.

I'll never forget watching Ryan Johnson play. He's a difference maker, the consummate team player. Sami Salo snapped his stick (alliteration aside), and in a scene that looked like something straight out of a movie, Johnson tossed Salo his stick and then laid down in front of a slapshot all in one motion. Heroic as all hell.
