Bombay Black

Crown of Thorns

Talon

Mecca....all I see is they have one disc...is that right?

Will Josh Ramos be jamming with Kevin during his set, like last time?

I will say right now the Mecca album is a masterpiece and is a must own. You can find it used on Amazon marketplace

http://www.amazon.com/Mecca/dp/B000063X ... 309&sr=8-3

Some of Crown of Thorns albums are available to download on Amazon, about 1/3 less of the cost of buying the cd.

Crown of Thorns

Either the self-titled, or Lost Cathedral is the best. For material to be played, I would think the S/T has more songs to be played.

you could find a lot by just listening on youtube... Jus tmake sure you get the right Crown of Thorns!

I ended up getting some discs....

Crown of Thorns-Faith. I really like this album, and sound. There are some tunes that rock on there. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys play live.

Talon-Fire in Your Soul. Damn...this album could have come out in 1988 and fit right in with the stuff from that era. Not bad at all!

Eden's Curse-S/T & The Second Coming. I like both of these and I bet these guys kick ass live. I can't wait.

Alias-Never Say Never. It's too bad this was shelved for so long. I hope they play a few off this one. 'Give Me a Reason to Stay' would have been a staple on MTV if they would have made a video almost 20 years ago.

Pride of Lions-Live in Belgium. A nice start, I figured. I hope they have some of their discs at the fest. I've not heard a ton from them, but dang, Toby sure sounds a lot like Dennis DeYoung...and I mean that in a complimentary way!

drew, I've seen the question and asked it myself--is Josh Ramos playing with anyone? say yes.

and since Eric Ragno won't spill, who is he playing with? Poley is my guess. and if Josh is there....well......but then we'd need Hugo. or Tony Mills

dang it. somebody just dish! :? argg

Deen for sure.

As soon as he pulls the knife out of Jeff's back let me know, ok?

Deen is a piece of shit. When he tells you about being a rock n roll brother, tell him to go to Hell.

This is completely backwards. I've never heard of Deen releasing sensitive, personal information out about anyone. Deen never did anything to Soto. Just like he said "I'm a drummer, man. I do my job, keep band business to myself and keep my mouth shut." That's why he still has a job and isn't running around singing Christmas carols in fucking March.

Your tank is empty on this one Dan. You have no idea. You really think Deen was "brother" to Augeri like he said he was? You wouldn't know, because you weren't there when he commented on it, but I was.

Regarding Soto, I am forbidden to talk about what happened there, so I guess I have to forfeit this one to you, and it's too bad I can't unload, because I really want to.

All I am trying to say, is be real for once. Don't skew the view here to make a point. You really can't comment accurately because you weren't involved, you weren't present. I was. The only thing I will say, your good buddies Jon, Ross, Neal and Deen should thank Jeff for what he did for them. If you have to ask what for, then it isn't worth the conversation.

Oh and by the way, singing Christmas carols? LOL, TSO outsold and continues to outsell Journey in the stores and on tour. TSO went platinum, for real, with one disc, not three, and they play much bigger stages too. Don't take my word for it though, look it up on Billboard, or look for tickets on Ticketmaster. You'll see for yourself.

It's a relative term in rock & roll, and one that you don't seem quite able to grasp. Regardless, I see nothing of substance in your rebuttal. And did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, you were told a lot of things to be brought "on board" and feel important?

Rockindeano wrote: Regarding Soto, I am forbidden to talk about what happened there, so I guess I have to forfeit this one to you, and it's too bad I can't unload, because I really want to.

Huh? He's already been terminated, dude! What the hell are they gonna do?!?! :?

Let me first address the underlined part. You've done enough 180's on these guys to make Shaun White dizzy! Loved them, hated them, loved them and now hate them. Had I waited long enough, I probably wouldn't have even had to make a rebuttal!

As for thanking Guarini ... they did. He did a nice job as a Triple-A call up and was paid rather handsomely for it.

I don't have to look anywhere. Journey's Greatest Hits is selling like hotcakes and Revelation has moved 1.1 million units, which the RIAA recognizes as 2.2 million albums. And I don't need Gunny posting the lack of RIAA certification for Double Platinum. It'll be certified when the time is right. Besides, I expect a nice bump from the Oprah show. You know, the one that was replayed because it was one of the most popular episodes.

It was the other way around Dickno. The P.O.S. applies to you Dickno, Do you really know Deen for you to post that??? Everyone in the crew loves Deen.

Really, dude, what do you have to lose? Really, seriously? Who forbids you? You are not employed by them, never were and if they had you sign an NDA, on what grounds could that be?

Deen is beloved. And people can work together for years and be close b/c of working together closely, and then when they aren't working together, their friendship falls away after time. It happens all the time and has happened to me.

Date VIP tickets mailed out?

Postby mrsromek » Thu Mar 25, 2010 9:33 am

My Tickets arrived today. Hey, Andrew...not a biggie, but I noticed the #'s on all 3 are all different?! That doesn't matter in any way, does it?

I just got home from seeing Tantric at the Road House in Elgin. It's a great venue, and even their band members and sound guy was commenting on how well the acoustics are in there. I'm not a techie at all, but it sounded good to me, too.
