The Sarah Silverman / Matt Damon thing was funny & so was the Jimmy Kimmel / Ben Affleck rebuttal, but Sarah Silverman herself is .... (okay, I'll be nice here) ..... not very funny IMO.

Lisa Lampanelli makes me blush when she does those celebrity roasts. I can't believe some of the stuff that lady says, but she is by far funnier than Sarah Silverman & you can tell she's having fun while taking cheap shots at herself & entertaining her adult oriented audience.

Silverman, on the other hand, seems to throw anything around just for the sake of shocking the audience with little or no entertainment value ala Michael Richards' infamous epic fail.

Apparently she thought it was funny to claim in 'The Aristocrats' that NYC talk show host Joe Franklin raped her - what kind of a joke is that? Seriously, if she does that just for fun that makes her nothing but an unfunny, sick bitch and I don't say that lightly.

Personally, I think this is all a stunt, but even if Perry did say "You have the best nigger jokes." ... so what? Rappers and comedians use the word all the time. What was he supposed to say ... "You have the best n-word jokes"? People need to step the fuck back and look at the context the word is used in before jumping to conclusions. To imply someone is a racist because they used the word in a sentence like that is just plain fucking stupid. If she has jokes ... and they contain the word "nigger" ... then his statement makes perfect sense to me!

Well, I'm pretty certain if Perry did say the "N" word, Randy Jackson wouldn't give a flying !@*#% and I'm pretty certain he wouldn't change his thoughts about the man. I think the only people who would get offended by such a word are simply being overly precious and probably struggle to get by in society in general, in one way or another. Is Steve Perry of Journey dead? Don't...stop believin' internet rumors! The front man of the '80s band (and the rocker who had one of the sweetest mullets ever) is still alive. To say he's dead is just a bunch of mindless gossip. But to say Steve Perry a racist is a whole other story...

In an interview with Playboy set to hit new stands tomorrow, Sarah Silverman told the magazine how the lead singer of a popular '80s band approached her after a show and told her, "You’re my favorite comedian. You have the best n***** jokes." "Whoever would make such an offensive comment? Though Silverman didn't provide a name, she did give a hint, "I’ll just say this: After that, I stopped believin."

Steve Perry is on the defense though. He's gone to Rolling Stone to try to set the record straight. He acknowledged having met Sarah Silverman but denied saying the n-word outright. "I don’t use that word, are you kidding? That’s so derogatory," said the rocker. Steve Perry explained his side of the story saying, "I walked up to her after the show and I said, ‘I can’t believe that somehow you seem to be getting away with all these slurs and the n-word, I just can’t believe how you’re doing this,’ and I looked at my friend and I said, ‘I can’t believe how she’s getting away with this,’ and she looked at me and kind of smiled. It wasn’t like I was condemning her or condoning her, it was just that I can’t believe how somehow creatively she was making everybody in that club of all colors and all ethnic backgrounds laugh. That’s what it was."

This sounds like a he said, she said story. Do you think Steve Perry is racist? Or do you think Sarah Silverman is stretching the truth for attention? She does like to push the envelope and is fairly obnoxious, so who knows what she's capable. But if it's true, hearing "Don't Stop Believin'" late night at the bar might not be the same.
