My question is this... if you have your co pay for doctor visits...at 20.00- 40.00 or whatever the price end up being.. in the future with the govt plan... what if you need real care ER type services, surgerys, tonsels, knee replacements.. MRI, catscans... what type of coverage will we get... you know with your own insurance.... some have 90-10... some have 80-20... up to a certain amount..... HOW MUCH WILL COME OUT OF OUR POCKET FOR THESE TYPES OF SERVICES...

Rick, allow me to tell you what I DO know,m instead of letting the Cons lie and scare you with bullshit made up by Limbaugh and Bachman and Palin, all terrible people by the way.

IF you have health insurance, you have nothing to worry about. Nothing will change for you. The only thing that may change for you, is if you become really sick, and your insurance company tries to jack up your premiums to make more money, they are not allowed to do this any longer. That's it. That's all. This is a fairly simple law. The only thing that may change with you, is that your premiums will NOT go up, you will never be denied insurance due to a pre existing health concern, and if you lose your job, you will keep your insurance. That's pretty easy to remember isn't it? Anybody tells you anything different is lying to you, plain and simple. This law is in the best interest of the American citizen. So, you got that? You won't lose your insurance, you can now apply for lower insurance rates if you wish to do so, by buying into a larger pool, thus saving you and your employees money on premiums, and speaking of premiums, they will not be falsely jacked up. If you have children, you can keep them on your policy until they're 26 years of age, and if you have any children, they cannot be denied coverage for any reason. You keep your current insurance if you like it, and you keep your doctors as well.

NO ONE is getting anything free Rick. Nothing in this law is free.

Tell me again please as to why you don't like this law again? There isn't one single bad thing in it.

I wrote this post before I read the last closed minded post of yours:

Rick wrote:doesnt mean its a good bill and once we find out whats covered whats not covered... how regulated our lifes will be...and years to come how much it will cost the american TAX PAYER... we will learn to hate the bill.... what inner city hospital will be forecd to shut down due to lack of funding... what already goes on with lack of funding with the VA hosptitals... they CLOSE... but hey...the govt will take care of us for being lazy asses...heck I am thinking of retiring at 49... I can fire myself... get welfare and unemployement benefits for at least a year... govt health care... foreclose on my house...and live with my parents... Wink gee.... what I always lived for dependency... Wink THE NEW AMERIAN DREAM!!!

I give up. Go ahead and be miserable..hate the bill because Rush and Hannity tell you to. It's impossible to reason with you. You don't listen to anyone, which is fine, but you don't know anything about this bill. Your attitude, and others in America who share it, are what's scary. Like I said, there isn't one thing to be concerned about. But yeah, I give up on you...sorry, but I tried.

I had new insurance as of the beginning of this month. The deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses are higher. However, the premiums are lower and the overall coverage is just as good or better than before. Typically, the more you pay out-of-pocket, the better your coverage is down the road, at least that's been my experience. We also have what is effectively a health savings account that my employer contributes to that we can use to pay those out-of-pocket expenses throughout the year. There is a maximum that will cover but it's a good benefit.

co-pays and premiums are part of the insurance plan. i think one of the problems is the lack of over sight on raising premiums. here in CA anthem/blue cross raised premiums 30-40%.... co-pays also increased, but the coverage decreased. explain that to me. i have healthnet now and have a copay of $20 for an office visit, $100 for the ER, i can handle that. the government is not offering a public option so we continue to purchase the plans we choose- whether privately or through our employer. having the mandate in place requiring all citizens to have health insurance can be argued as uncostitutional, but it can also be argued that congress has the right to set the mandate as a protection of our economy- without insurance the patient will be seen, but the bills are not covered, so it comes out of the pot of taxes etc... i dob't see the lawsuits winning in overturning the bill. we absolutely need the reigns brought in or at least applied to the insurance companies. blah blah blah

I just dont want govt in my life this way. pure and simple... you might like that... but not me.... but I will say the insurance
companies in the end screwed themselfs... by not catering to the way american way of life has changed the lsat 40 years...
the high costs of chatostraphic illnesses, the technology... the insurance compaines worst practice was denying coverage.. and that is the ONE THING I LOVE about this bill... as my spouse has asthma... to get new insurance... I doubt if she would have been able too, now she doesnt have to worry about that... THE WORST PART OF THE BILL... GOVT WILL CONTROL OUR LIFES... at some point in the future.

That's why we changed insurance at our company. We had BlueCross/BlueShield and they tried to do the same thing to us.

I hope they do. I think the chances are 50-50 that it will be overturned. The Republicans certainly aren't going to be able to muster up the numbers to repeal the bill in Congress. That's for sure. However, if the bill truly is unconstitutional, it should be overturned regardless of how popular it is.

of course, there's co-pays. We're getting more affordable insurance, bottomline. Great post, Lula.

You have ZERO hope in overturning this LAW. Explain to me, give me ONE SINGLE reason why you want this overturned. One simple reason. I am listening.

God, you're fucking dense. There is not one bad item in this law, yet you want it overturned. Just fucking amazing.

Again, YOU SIMPLY DO NOT LISTEN. Government is not involved AT ALL. The only thing Government is doing is protecting the citizens against ridiculous false premiums. There is no Government intervention. This is not Government Health Care. What part of this do you not understand? There will be absolutely NO changes to people who have their own doctors and current insurance. The only thing Government is doing, is PROTECTING YOU from losing your insurance if you lose your job, and stopping evil insurance companies from raping your wallet. Again, why is this so hard to understand? Please, explain this to me.

dude, step away from the beckisms ;). you've admitted to the good in the bill. this is about the government we elect stepping up and protecting us from the insurnace scams. sure there are some issues with the bill, like the cornhusker kickback that is currently law and will be until the congress passes the reconciliation/ammendments.

I Concur!!

it's okay cause I have plenty more I can pick on him about ;)

LOL!!!
I say go for it!!! He is in FL right now (your town), you could PM him and meet him face
to face ...I would do it!!!:D

What would you do if Steveo77 was in your town?

If he let me know he was here, I would DEFINITELY make the effort to meet him!!!
and I'd take a gun ...J/K!!!

I am beginning to think there is actually an attraction here, from you to him, or maybe it's a fatal attraction, IDK, but Steveo77, aside from his ridiculous Journey takes(Arnel is better than Perry garbage), seems like a good dude to me.

ABSOLUTELY NOT~damn this isn't a dating site!! ...but the bolded is my sentiment exactly!!!

Hate sex is consensual sexual intercourse that occurs between two people who strongly dislike or annoy each other. It is related to the idea that opposition between two people can heighten sexual tension, attraction and interest.[8][9]

That's what would happen. Three minutes of real angry hugging.

And my offer regarding skinny dipping still stands, StevePerryHair. I'd have fun, even with a bully like you.

Your lesser-half seems to think the bill is as pure as the driven snow. Heck, the way some people talk about it, you'd think they were planning on erecting an altar to the thing and encasing it in glass alongside the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

Why the hurry to pass the bill... then... what does SINGLE PAYER and PUBLIC OPTION then mean to you... where will the competition come from in about 5 to 10 years...when the private insurance industry is forced out??? just saying... these are legitment question for the future... and I am conservative by nature... not becuase of RUSH or SEAN...

The government may not be "involved" in the bill but we all know from past statements by Obama, Biden, and the other Administration cronies that this is but merely a step in that direction.
