Nintendo unveils 3D DS

Id like to clarify that I do enjoy more than Mario & Zelda games.

I don't. I still have my original Nintendo and one of these days I'm gonna get it out of storage and play it. As of at least 4 years ago, it still worked. Super Mario 3, baby!! I've never been able to adapt to the more advanced systems. I had a playstation and playstation 2 for awhile. My only shining moment was the one day I whooped major ass at Tekken 2.

I don't like the controllers... too many buttons to concentrate on and remember what each one does and it's different in each game... OY. Forget it. I'm sure it makes me sound like I'm stupid as hell, but I'm not. I just lose interest fast when I don't get the hang of something.

Plus, I don't really play to win. I like the games that are fun and cartoony and that I can play BY MYSELF. I do not enjoy playing against others because I usually lose and I got really sick of being made fun of for it... which is another story. Sore loser? No, I'm not. I'm fine with losing a game. I'm just against people who take GAMES way too seriously and critisize the way I play.

So I finally said "screw you, I will take my toys, go to the other TV, and play ONE PERSON games". That way I can do what I want, play what I want, and ultimately lose without ridicule.

That said - can anyone tell me how the HELL to win Willie's Tractor Challenge (or whatever it's called) in Simpsons Road Rage? I wasted a whole night on that once.

You just reminded me of one of my favorite games... Big Mother Truckers... Man, I need to hit up a Game Crazy (if I can find one anymore) or Game Stop and try to get a used PS2. Those should be about 10 bucks by now right? I have games I can't play because I lost custody of my PS2 (wtf was I thinking?!). This damn thread makes me want to play video games.

The ONLY videogame system that monitored every game closely was 3DO.... during its short-lived 3 years , there was abour 200 games released for it out which about 50% were QUALITY games. The system was way ahead of its time, but the only thing that killed it was its HIGH price tag at $699 (back in 1993 )....
I still have my 3DO with about 60 of the top games. It was the 1st system that truly showed the new 32bit games , such as Road Rash, Need For Speed and Madden, where the graphics were pushed to the maxed and set the standards for next-gen and paved the road for Sony Playstation and Sega Saturn,,,,

It depends on what you're looking for in a game though. What you may call a low quality game, could be something fun for a gamer who maybe has't been playing since they were 10. Or a younger child. And we enjoy some of the trivia games, and some of the games like Boom Blox and a lot of the sports games on the Wii because they are fun to play competing against others. Not as sophisticated as let's say your GOWIII game is, but still fun for their purpose.

If I had my druthers I'd buy a Crystal Castles, Karate Champ, Galaga, and Donkey Kong Jr arcade games...and a Star Trek: Next Generation pinball machine......and if I REALLY could afford it....Dragon' Lair and Space Ace laser disk machines....

no, I mean real GARBAGE games... games that no one would enjoy AT ALL.... there are TONS of them out there ,,,, those games you mentioned above arent garbage games,, theyre games aimed at a certain audience and age group... There are alot of great books out there...

Having knowledge about things isnt always the same as making a career out of it. We're simply swapping opinions , in 2-3 page thread.... if you wanna talk about writing books, you should go to the Obama thread and pick out half a dozen of posters there and advise them to write multiple books on the subject(s)......

I probably play an average of 3 hours a week, if even that,,,, now 10 years ago it was probably 3 times that,,, and 20 years ago I would play 2 hours a day,,,,, but it is something that I consider hobby and I can easily learn and add to my knowledge without having to worry about turning it into a career,,, which sometimes I WISH I had made my career, cause I bet there are game developers out there than make more money than you and me and have a lot more fun doing what theyre doin. No kindly do something useful of your "extra" time, instead of being the grouchy little bitch that you normally are
